Keefe

Keefe groaned as light shines through his eyes.

"Finally, your awake!" A cheery voice said, as Keefe's vision started to clear. Elwin stood in front of him, holding multiple viles all with bright colors. He had glasses that had made him look like a scientist. His dark brown wild curly hair bounced as he gave Keefe a big smile. He had a white lab coat on, with a shirt that had a bunch of animals on it. Keefe smiled back, remembering his goofiness. Elwin has a broad jaw and smallish mouth, with a smile that lights up his face. But then Keefe remembered that he was in the healing center, but couldn't remember why. Keefe sat up as he spoke.

"Why am I in here? Is Sophie okay? How did I get here? What happened?"

"You fainted from shock, assuming from how much blood you had seen. Ro carried you both to here as Stacey was cleaning up the mess. You had threw up a lot. You will have to take a few elixirs just to clear up from the situation, it seems like you have a fever. But no biggie, that can be fixed easily. Stacey is just outside the door, and I am right here, so if you need anything, just holler."

Keefe noticed how Elwin had ignored his question about Sophie, which made Keefe really worry. There had only been a 4 maids who had died here naturally, not counting the ones who had died from wars, and rebellion. The only time maids had died was from overworking, or old age. The palace had only experienced 2 maids who had 過労死 in generations.

(Karoshi, Japanese: 過労死, which can be translated into "overwork death", is a Japanese term relating to occupation-related sudden death.)

"Sophie is mostly healed, though she will have to be on bed rest for a bit. Your parents hired professionals to find out what caused Sophie's injuries, currently we are just guessing what it could be. It almost seems like she was attacked by somebody, no a rebellion group, possibly the Neverseen. If this is so, this will cause a lot of trouble, because this means that people had been breaking into the palace, or we have a traitor among us. The palace is the most secure place in the whole world, as you know, so people being able to break in is very concerning." Elwin mumbled, as he set the elixirs on the nightstand beside Keefe.

"Although there is no reason to worry, I am sure this is nothing major." A new deep confident voice had joined them, Keefe looked over and saw Alden Vacker. His teal eyes bore into Elwin, as he gave him a small smile. His wavy dark hair does not have a single strand out of place, shining against the light. His fancy smoothed clothes fit him perfectly, showing his broad shoulders. He had a jawline that could cut stone if wanted too. His accent is close to British, but not quite.

"Good to see you Alden, what brings you here, looking for a new stuff animal by any chance?" Elwin teased, Alden looked at Sophie.

"Well since the situation, we had to get stuff ready for the dinner tonight. After all, tonight is the night that the Prince gets to meet all of his lovely girls that got selected for the first time, Biana definitely had a lot of fun getting ready for it, Fitz definitely did not enjoy helping. We made sure everything was made throughly, and got Biana's dress made and laid out. We just decided to have a visit with my daughter, after all, it is an only one time thing where Prince Keefe has a Selection." Of course the Vackers would be visiting, they are practically just as royal as the Sencens. Keefe paled when he realized the dinner was tonight. Elwin please tell everyone I can't go, Please please please.

"Yep! That's right, Keefe will be able to leave in just a few minutes." Keefe bit back his groan, he seriously has the worst luck ever. Keefe looked over to the bed next to him and saw Sophie sleeping peacefully, her snores are soft and quite. It made Keefe smile, instantly lighting his mood, she really had a rough few days.
