Friends? • YANG JUNGWON

You and Jungwon had always been best friends. Though, one day, the 2 of you got in a rather heated argument, you guys stopped talking for a bit as the 2 of you were too stubborn to apologize.

"Can you guys just end this lovers quarrel and move on" Sunoo grumbles, referring to you and Jungwon. It was currently lunch time and the 2 of you were located in a classroom, Sunoo rested his face on top of his palm as you rolled your eyes at him playfully

"It isn't a lovers quarrel if we were never lovers in the first place" you scoff, Sunoo sucks in a deep breath as he tilts his head

"The way he looks at you says other wise" Sunoo mumbles, averting his eyes elsewhere, you furrow your eyebrows in confusion

"The way he looks at me?" You repeat, leaning in closer to the boy. Sunoo gives you a 'really' look as he presses his lips together

"After 10 years of being friends with that damn asshole you still haven't noticed his feelings? Y/N you're dumb but you shouldn't be that oblivious" Sunoo sighs, rubbing the side of his head as he looked at you. You stay quiet as you slowly processed his words. After a while, your attention was quickly averted as you noticed someone entering the classroom. It was Jungwon. You made eye contact with him as you felt like time had stopped, even though you guys had a bad argument a couple days ago, he still looked at you with a soft gaze, his facial features falling perfectly within each other.

"And it looks like you were also oblivious to the fact that you were gaining feelings too" Sunoo smirks, watching your face heat up.

"A-Ah" you stutter, you suddenly get up as you stumbled over the desks around you, you let out a small cough as you turned toward Sunoo

"I'm just-gonna-um-run-to the uh-yeah" you stammer. You quickly run out as you placed your hands over your face, you knew you were blushing, yet you felt relieved you were.

Jungwon on the other hand was confused by your sudden outburst, he looks back at Sunoo to see him peacefully eating a bag of chips. The 2 boys make eye contact as Sunoo slowly smiles

"If you love her, I recommend you go chase after her" Sunoo remarks, Jungwon starts blushing at his comment, he says nothing more as he starts chasing after you, biting his lips as he thinks about nothing else but you.

"Y/N!"

You widen your eyes from the familiar voice ringing in your ears, you turn around to see no other then Jungwon chasing after you

"Damn him and his good stamina" you whisper. You attempt to continue running, slowing down every breath you took. You soon give up and plotted yourself on a bench outside your school building, your face red and throat dry from overworking your stamina. You then notice Jungwon standing in front of you, he breaths loudly while bending slightly as he kept looking at you. You avoid eye contact as you kept your eyes closed, hoping he'd just give up and leave after noticing the awkward atmosphere. Your assumption was sadly wrong.

"Care to tell me why you ran away all of a sudden" Jungwon says, plopping himself beside you, you wince at your failed attempt of ignoring him as you open your eyes slightly, you were blessed by the sight of Jungwon looking at you with quite a handsome face even after all the running. You cover your face with your hands yet again to try and hide your red face, this peaked Jungwon's interest even more with more curiosity. He tilts his head, slowly smirking as he watched your ears turn red. He gives out a low chuckle as he covered your ears, you jump at the sudden touch as you removed your hands slightly to see his face

"Pretty" Jungwon smiles, you give a cough as you started stammering nonsense

"W-what?!" You stutter, Jungwon gives a shrug in response before staring at you in silence. A few seconds pass before he starts to lean in closer, containing the eye contact with you as you slowly moved back, feeling your head hit the bench's armrest

"I said Pretty" Jungwon smirks, your breath becomes unsteady as you were now clutching onto the boys shirt, which did in fact seem like it was gonna rip any second, though that didn't stop the boy from leaning closer to you. You decide to accept fate as you now felt his breath against your lips, you tightly close your eyes as you waited for the contact, though you felt sad when you ended up not feeling it. You open your eyes back open to see Jungwon still looking at you, he stayed quiet before parting his lips slightly

"I won't do it without permission Y/N" he whispers, flicking his eyes down to your lips, he averts his eyes back to your eyes as he continued what he was saying

"So.....may I Y/N?" Jungwon continues, biting his own lips softly

You were left speechless as you looked back at Jungwon's soft gaze above you. You'd never expect him to ask for permission to kiss you!

You let out a small giggle as a smile flashed across your face, you pulled him closer as you let out a small hum

"Of course Jungwon" you say, Jungwon gives a grin in reply, he places his hand on your back, pulling you in as your lips connected. The 2 of you let go of the kiss as you guys rested your foreheads against each other, Jungwon allowed his dimples to pop out as he took in a deep breath

"Oh thank gosh we're talking again, I was suffocating during those 2 weeks" Jungwon comments, you give him an eye roll before pushing yourself back up, you sat nicely on the bench once again, Jungwon smiling innocently beside you. You couldn't but adore the cat-like look displayed on his face, you lift a finger up to pinch his cheek as you give a gummy smile whilst tilting your head

"You're such a dork Won" you smile, Jungwon lets out a hum in response, he tackles you into a hug as he puts his head on your shoulder

"Well if you allow me, could I be your dork?" He teases, your face heats up from the pick up line, your stomach was yet again filled with butterflies as you begin to stutter

"Damn it- stop teasing me!" You complain. Jungwon says nothing as he lets out a small laugh, the 2 of you then start to bicker, the on going complaining continuously going without an end. Well, that was till someone watching interrupted the couple

"If I knew this was gonna happen, I would've lied about Jungwon liking Y/N" Sunoo remarks, his face was scrunched up into a 'disgusted' look, his judging eyes watching them in horror
