Remembrance • KIM SUNOO

You had just recently woken up from a 5 month coma after being involved in a bad car accident. You ended up losing your memories as the accident damaged your head, though, you only remembered up to 2 years ago.

You zoned out for what seemed like the millionth time that day before hearing a knock at your hospital room door, you quietly say a "come in" as the door slowly opened

"Sunoo" You say, the boy enters with a faded smile on his face, his hands still on the door knob

"Hi Y/N" he greets, walking up to you after closing the door

"What brings you here?" You ask, watching him sit down on the chair beside you, he lets out a yawn before answering, his eyes looking puffy

"I thought I'd come by and say hi" he answers, smiling weakly. You couldn't help but send a worried glance his way, you didn't know who he was when you first woke up but seeing him come by your hospital room almost every day, you became friends with him easily. Though, you knew you were missing a very important detail of your guys' friendship, it was bugging you poorly.

"Did you have enough sleep last night?" You question, redirecting the topic. Sunoo gives a small laugh in attempt to loosen up the awkward atmosphere stirring up, he gives a nod before answering

"Yeah, I just had to turn in an essay yesterday" Sunoo excuses

"Anyway, how are you doing?" Did the doctor mention anything??" Sunoo smiles, changing the subject yet again. He was obviously lying but you didn't want to ruin the mood so you went along with his change

"Yep! They say I can get discharged next week!" You exclaim, smiling

"That's good to hear" Sunoo sighs happily, patting his leg. He continued to just sit in silence after the conversation, looking like he wanted to say something, you sat patiently in hopes of him finally mentioning what he wanted to say, but seeing how he had no intentions, you took the initiative of asking him

"Did you want to tell me something? You look like you've been keeping something in" you mention, Sunoo rubs the back of his neck as he nodded slowly

"I guess you noticed" he laughs quietly, you roll your eyes at him teasingly before adding on to your recent statement

"You can tell me when your ready, I'm all ears" you say, straightening your back. Sunoo seemed hesitant with his answer, opening and closing his mouth repeatedly as he thought about what he was gonna say. After a couple seconds of deciding, he finally says his answer

"I'm moving out of the country"

Your eyes widen from the sudden news

"Oh wow, really?" You say, Sunoo replies with a nod, you take in a steady breath before shaking your head slowly

"Well, it's your decision, let's hang out as much as we can before you leave yeah?" You suggest. Sunoo smiles shyly as he chuckled

"Of course"

You decided to keep the negative feelings aside and spend the rest of your time with Sunoo. After being discharged from the hospital, you guys hung out almost every day, making new memories and possibly attempting to regain your old ones, and before you knew it, Sunoo was set to leave

Sunoo stood in front of your house as he waited for you. You were currently packing a couple snacks for the boy before he left for the airport.

"Here ya go!" You smile, giving Sunoo the bento box you had just prepared. Sunoo replied with a very tired smile, accepting it happily

"Thank you Y/N" he says, you give him a thumbs up before opening the cab door for him, you gave him one more good bye hug before allowing him to enter the cab, the cab immediately driving off once you had closed the door. After watching the boy leave, you walk back into your house, making your way up to your room. You sighed deeply as you walked toward your bed, though, you suddenly trip as your foot got tangled with something from under it
