《3rd person POV》
"We haven't seen Diluc at all during the Iradori festival....", Thoma worriedly pondered to himself.
"He must be in Mondstat, I have to visit him.", he concluded.
It stung Ayato to hear those words. A pang of jealousy tugged at his heart.
"Oh!", Ayaka exclaimed, suprised at what the blond boy had said.
"Wait Thoma, I-", Ayato cut himself off before he could say something he would regret.
He paused for a moment, carefully choosing his words.
"It's nothing, do take yourself!", Ayato tried to smile despite the aching weight in his stomach.
"I will! And I'll come back so don't miss me too much! Haha," Thoma gave a bright smile.
"Bye, everyone!" He waved before running off to get on a boat to Mondstat.
"Farewell!" Ayaka happily waved back.
The smile on Ayato's face slowly disappeared as he realized something.
His younger sister noticed this and she turned to her brother, "Ayato...?"
Ayato's lip trembled, he felt a tear slide down.
"Shit...", he let out a shaky breath, unable to contain his emotions anymore.
"I knew it...", Ayaka stared at her brother in concern.
"You love him don't you...?", she said. After a small pause she asked, "Why did you let him go?".
"Because....", Ayato felt more tears stream down his face, his breath wavered.
"I know that Thoma will never look at me-".
He paused, trying to swallow the pain. "The same way he will look at him..."
