I wake up to someone pounding on my door my immediate thought was maybe it's Rosie whatever she can wait till I'm fully awake and actually wanting to get out of bed I smack my head back onto the pillows and cuddle with Freddie aka my stuffed bear that I had since I was little when my grandma gave me him, he was my comfort object I went everywhere with me I went so far that every Halloween I would get me and him matching costumes yes I was completely and utterly obsessed with this dumb bear anyway back to the current very loud problem I figured the knocking would go away but of course it never did I rip the comforter off my body and stomp my way to the door when I open it I see Gracie standing there with huge pumpkins, a big bowl of candy, and wine "surprise" she says in a low happy tone I am so shocked I don't even know what to do I just move out the way so she can come in "Gracie what are you doing here?" she sets the stuff down on the counter and turns to me, as I close the door "Well I remembered you said how much you love Halloween but Rosie is working I wanted to do a little something for you so I brought pumpkins we can carve while we eat a whole bunch of candy and drink wine" I look at her admiring how cute she is just looking at the pumpkins with a big smile on her face we make eye contact then my eyes dart to the floor "Wow you are too good for this world" Her smile gets bigger after I say that we get everything out and ready I put on Halloween town and we carve our pumpkins not even a 2 minutes later Gracie says "done" I walk over to see what she did and I see the pumpkin and its small cute face I burst out laughing "what?" she keeps repeating it but I still don't answer because of the laughing "It's so adorable but why is the face so small?"
"I got lazy and I didn't know what to do" she shrugs then giggles "It will take me a while to finish mine I want it to be perfect" "Okay so mine is my kid and her name is boobie don't you see the resemblance" when she put the pumpkin up to her head that's when I lost it I burst out laughing again I get out my phone "wait stay there" I take the photo of her a boobie while Gracie laughs as I take the picture "oh yeah that's gonna be my wallpaper now" she pauses "wait that's not fair" now she get's her phone out and she manages to get the worst photo of me ever "no redo it I look terrible" she shakes her head "no can do ivy because you look gorgeous in it so nope and done it is on my phone forever now everything I look at my phone I see your beautiful face" I start to blush before I get cut off by Gracie yanking me to dance to the music that's in the movie "this has been so much fun" "we barely even started" she sounds confused "Yeah but this is probably the best Halloween I've had in my whole life" Then she nods in understanding "I'm glad you like it I was afraid it wouldn't live up to your big expectations for Halloween" we stop actually dancing now were just standing there with her arms around my neck and my hands on her waist "no this one definitely beats the others" our eyes are locked on each other are Wait hold up are we having a moment right now we snapped out of whatever was happening there and we got back to your pumpkins and then drink a lot of wine 20 minutes after I dramatically turn to her "Okay she is done" Gracie gasps "ohh yay show me show me" I turn it around and in the pumpkin, I heart Taylor swift is carved in she gasps "damn fine you win there's no way I can top that, that one is just superior to the others we made" she gasps but this time its louder and more dramatic "well yeah it's because Taylor beats all".
after all the carving we ended up watching the first two scream movies after we finished it this was just another night of staying up late and also leaving late I walked Gracie out of her car like normal "We need to start hanging out during the day" we laugh at how tired we were "yeah I don't know how much longer I can keep up with these late-night hangouts as much as I love them I am so tired" she gets in her car starts it and rolls her window down "sleep good ivy and Happy Halloween" "Happy Halloween Gracie"
