the tub is filling up, changing color
my skin stinging and heart aching
hands shaking, body sinking deeper in the water
hair floating around my face, slowly drowning me
the water is getting warmer, thicker, redder
but my body is growing numb.
so i sink further in, until i hit the bare bottom
not able to breathe, water surrounding every inch of my cold limp body
the sounds are all muffled, my head is pulsing, the voices are louder, the bangs are closer, my heart is hitting against the ribcage screaming to let it out, about to break thorough, i'm gasping for air but my lungs are filling with water instead,
and then its all silent.
everything stops.
my head spins, the light calling me closer, the string of life growing thinner and sloppier,
So i let go.
