Cross and his partner were asleep in they're chambers, the room being quite bigger then the rest of his teammates, a room fit for a king of course, though a baby's crying voice was heard and Cross stirred awake
'Hmm..' Cross tiredly sat up and look at the clock on his bedside table '3:30 am' it was still pretty early, soon he felt weight shift bedside him as Nightmare sat up aswell due to they're baby still crying. 'Thank goodness the walls were soundproof'
Cross- already getting himself out of bed to check on Incubux was stopped by his husband's voice as he got out of bed aswell
''Cross I already told you that I'd deal with him during the night, you still need to rest''
Which was true, Cross was pretty bone-tired, and with how Cross had given birth a month ago. Nightmare wanted Cross to do less so he would fully recover, but that didn't mean Cross was weak either.
''Yes i know, and I know your capable of handling him but I still can't help but worry..'' Cross answered and he sat done on the edge of the bed and watched as his Lover walked towards the crib on the other side of the room, gently picking up they're one month infant
All Nightmare did was chuckle at his son who tried to nibble his finger. 'He's probably hungry'
"Geez you really do have a mothers instinct" Nightmare smiled as he turned to Cross, the smaller pouted at his husband's words. nonetheless, walked up to both of them.
"Is he hungry?"
"Yea seems like it, so either you want me to feed him by bottle or do wish to feed him yourself?" Nightmare smirked seeing Cross turn bright purple knowing what he ment.
"I would feed him If you d-dont look!" Cross whisper yelled as to not scar the infant still cradled in Nights arms
"No promises~"

After that 'embarrassing moment'
Cross still had his son in his arms
Looking at him so lovingly, Incubux had fallen asleep soon after being fed.
Nightmare had an arm around Cross' shoulder gently not minding how quiet things became, seeing his partner kissing the infants forehead and walking towards the crib to put him to sleep.
Nightmare just watched with his arms crossed as his husband came back towards him, seeing Night just stare at him.
''Hm? Is something wrong?"
Cross asked as he was finally infront of him.
''What, can't I admire such a sight?"
Nightmare replied-teasing Cross.
"S-Shut up!" Cross putting his pointer finger towards his lovers chest. Once again all night did was smirk and pull him closer, gently running one his hands on the smallers back.
Cross cuddled closer loving the affection the taller gave off. "Are you feeling alright?"
"I'm fine Night, nothing you need to worry about" Cross reassured, he knew that the taller knew he was alright but ever since he gave birth the taller always worried for both him and the baby a few feet away from them.
Cross received a kiss on the forehead. He couldn't help but smile, Nightmare wasn't one for affection in public, but whenever they were alone he was such a sweetheart
"We should head to bed, you need to rest hun"
Cross rolled his eyes
"Yes mom"
At this, Night just laughed and picked the smaller up in his arms, Cross- startled- squeaked and braced himself to be thrown onto the bed.
But it didn't happen, as he was gently placed onto the soft duvet.
"Cross relax, I'm not gonna hurt you, least I want Is you being weaker then you are now" Nightmare nuzzled his lovers neck as Cross couldn't help but laugh softly at himself
Cupping the taller face as he pulled away from him and kissed him, it was sweet and passionate, Night being extra careful with the smaller.
Once they pulled away, Nightmare trailed kisses down the smallers jaw to his neck and continued to go down further, Cross made no objections to stop his husband- he himself loved the affection.
Finally Nightmare stopped at Cross' 'stomach' and peppered soft kisses
Cross gently rubbed his thumb on Nights head as he continued, feeling the tiredness Start taking over as Nightmare finished what he was doing.
Another kiss on the forehead from Nightmare "Get some rest button" and the smallers finally started dozing off, before sleep took him over completely he felt Nightmare secure an arm around his waist and pull him closer.
"I love you Night"
A kiss planted on the nape of his neck before he finally fell asleep
"I love you too Cross"
