South Korea and Japan, also would be considered as brother, or father and son it's just up to you.
In my case they're more like brothers, due to the fact South Korea was the Korean empire, while Japan was Japanese empire (and he still is an empire, because turns out Japan is still an empire)
Korean empire (both of them) only fall when Japanese empire annexed them. And their history is just... chaotic. Their relationship is bad, as turns out people don't really like each other.
