A royal scandal.
Something the reporters would say the moment they would find out about everything. About all the nights that I went out, including the one with Lewis. Or the fact that I would be betrothed to another, while I was dating the one I wanted.
The thoughts crossed my mind like a winterstorm in december. It was hard and painful. Just like the truth. And from the moment we stepped in the car to go back to the hotel, I couldn't help but panic about the upcoming storm. I finally found a happy moment again, a moment where camera's weren't pointed at me. It felt so perfect, but now that I was sitting here, in the car with Lewis, I couldn't help but think about all the hatred I would get. From my dad, my family. My country. They want me to marry Duke Williams. But all I want is to feel alive,
in love,
free.
And that's a dream that I can't make true.
I got ripped out of my thoughts when my hand got squeezed. "We're back, Jude." Lewis's voice soothed my thoughts and I immediately thought back about everything that happened the last few hours, forgetting the camera's and the pressure of carrying a country.
We rode into the underground garage and immediately went to the elevator, so that no one would see us and suspect anything. Liam was so sweet to discard all the picnic stuff, so that we had a moment left for ourselves.
I turned to Lewis and wrapped my arms around his neck. "I loved it..." I stood on my toes and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
In response he wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into an embrace. "I loved it too." He gave me a cheeky smile and I couldn't help the blush forming on my cheeks.
"Holy. Shit." We jumped up and pulled away from each other as we heard the voice coming from the lobby. We didn't notice the elevator stopping and now we were caught.
"I knew the date was a good idea, I deserve a huge thank you!" Carlos walked in and slapped Lewis on the back. He grinned wide at us and I could see the amusement in his eyes.
"God, man you really made me scared for a second. I thought we were caught by some paparazzi." Lewis chuckled and patted Carlos on the back. "Thanks for everything, mate."
"No problem, Isa helped also, she loved the idea." Carlos looked at me and I hugged him.
"Thanks, Carlos, it was a night to never forget." I stepped back and smiled at him. He winked back and it wasn't a flirty kind of wink. "Where is Isa actually?"
"She's in our room. It's pretty late and I just got back from some drinks with the boys. And yes no alcohol before you get mad." And he was right, because I would be mad if he drank before a race.
"I've known you for 2 days, but when I tell you that I care about your wellbeing, you should care." I looked up at him angrily.
"Yes, madam," he joked and I couldn't keep the angry face anymore.
"This is our floor, Jude. Shall we go?" Lewis said and I said goodbye to Carlos. We walked to my room, passing Lewis's along the way.
"Always the gentleman, hm? Taking me home." I leaned against the wall next to my door.
"Well it isn't really your home, now. But yes, I will always bring you home." He leaned down and kissed my cheek. A tingling feeling spread through my cheek as his lips touched it.
"Goodnight, Jude." A kiss on my other cheek.
"Goodnight..." A kiss on my nose
And before I turned to open my door, I left a small kiss on his lips. I turned back to him one last time before closing the door behind me, seeing him smile from ear to ear.

Sunday
-----
I groaned as my alarm began to rang. I reached for my phone and looked at the time. 8:30 ... but I had an alarm set on 8:00... And only than I realised that it wasn't my alarm that was ringing.
"I slept through my alarm! I'm so sorry, Lewis." I fell back on the mattress and groaned.
A quiet laugh came from the other side. "It's fine, Jude. I wanted to leave at 9, will you be ready by then?"
"Sure, but I do need some breakfast. Can you bring some?" We weren't FaceTiming, but I putted on my biggest smile, hoping he would bring me some breakfast.
"Anything for you, Princess. I'll be there in 10." And with that he hung up and left me alone back on the bed. My eyes slowly closed again and I would've almost fallen asleep again if it wasn't for my phone to ring again.
"I wanted to call room service, but what do you wanna eat?" I laughed at the question.
"Some croissants will do," I said and Lewis hung up to call room service.
I swung my legs over the bed and stood up, hasting towards the bathroom. I didn't have time for a shower, so I just picked an outfit from my luggage and went into the bathroom. I changed quickly and was just finishing my make-up when the door opened.
"I have your breakfast!" Lewis's voice echoed through the room and I smiled as I walked out of the bathroom.
"You," I pointed at him, "are an hero." I took the plate with croissants from him and gave him a soft kiss on his cheek. I sat down on the bed and waited for Lewis to sit next to me. "I'm so excited for my first race day!"
"And I'm excited for our HotLap in just over an hour from now." Lewis laughed as I looked shocked at him.
"Shit, that's today!" I almost choked on my croissant as I spitted the words out.
"I can maybe pull some strings so you can ride a lap as well. But I'm not sure if they find that save enough." He laughed as I pulled a face.
"I'm an amazing driver, how would it not be save?" I said, a slight sarcasm in my voice.
"Exactly that. You're an amazing driver, maybe Mercedes will ditch me for you," he joked. He put his arm around my shoulders and tugged me next to him.
These moments were the ones I've been missing for so long. I missed being held in someones arms and I wished we could stay like this forever, my head on his shoulder and his arm tucked around me. I closed my eyes for a bit and just enjoyed his embrace.
"I don't want to go to the track... it's so peaceful here." I tilted my head from his shoulder, looking up at him.
"We'll make it the best day ever. Okay?" I nodded my head and smiled at him.
Today's race day and also the most exciting day of the weekend. But also the last day, because after the race I would go back home with Nick and wouldn't see Lewis again for a while.
"When is the next race?" I asked, hoping he would say somewhere near. Of course I had to encourage my dad to let me go, but maybe sneaking out was a better option.
"I'll race in Hungary in 3 weeks. I'd like it if you joined me..." He looked down at me and placed a small kiss on the side of my mouth.
"I need to check my duties first, but maybe some international event will overlap with one of the races." It would be a great excuse for me to attend another race.
"We'll check it out, okay? If you send me all the data than my team and I will sort out something. You only have to fix that you get permission to go there."
