"Nah, bro... I can't believe you did that!" Mike exclaimed, clearly shocked. "Same!" I responded, matching his level of excitement. He was referring to the email I had just sent.

Just then, my little brother timidly entered the room. He was always shy around my friends. Before I could respond to him, Mike pulled him into a warm hug and said, "You shouldn't be shy around me, sweet cheeks. I'm supposed to be your best friend too!" Aaron blushed at the nickname and replied, "I love you, Mikey... but I'm scared of those two," pointing at Angela and Rose with a puzzled expression. Angela gasped playfully, and Rose pretended to pout. Laughter filled the room as we all joined in.

Interrupting our lighthearted moment, I asked Aaron, "What did you want to tell me when you came in?" His voice trembled as he replied, "Um... I couldn't find Astro anywhere this morning. I asked Mom, and she said he might be in the garden. I looked everywhere, but I couldn't find him. I think he might have gone out onto the streets. I'm so scared, Jase." His eyes welled up with tears. I wrapped my arms around him tightly and reassured him, "We'll find him, bunny-boo. Don't worry." To cheer him up, I handed him a chocolate from my drawer. It seemed to lift his spirits.

Mike chimed in, suggesting that we go and search for Astro since we didn't have any pressing matters to attend to. We all agreed and set out on our mission. Holding Aaron's hand, we walked through town, asking people and checking buildings, hoping to find any sign of Astro. But our efforts yielded no results. As we passed by the mall, which was still being cleaned up after a devastating explosion, Aaron noticed the destruction and asked in shock, "Jase, what happened to our mall?" He hadn't been aware of the incident. I gently replied, "Ronnie, there was an explosion here while you were at school." He responded with a simple "Oh," but I could tell he was deeply saddened since it was his favorite shopping destination.

Continuing our search, we spotted an abandoned building in the distance. Rose suggested checking it, even though I doubted Astro would be there. Nonetheless, curiosity got the better of us, and we decided to explore. Mike darted ahead and searched for a window to peek through. Moments later, he signaled for us to join him. Could he have found something? We hurried over to him and strained our eyes in his direction. It appeared to be an empty room with a chilling atmosphere. Unexpectedly, we made the impulsive decision to enter and investigate further. "Look!" Rose exclaimed, pointing at a wooden trap door on the floor. As we opened it, a ladder leading down into darkness was revealed. Surprisingly, Mike pulled out a torch from his pocket. "When did you pack this?" I asked, filled with curiosity. Mike shrugged and replied, "I packed it just in case of an emergency like this." Accepting his preparedness, we cautiously descended the ladder, making sure to assist Aaron, who had always disliked climbing. As we reached the bottom, we surveyed our surroundings. What lay before us was both breathtaking and terrifying. We had inadvertently stumbled upon the hidden lair of the robots—a vast underground facility buzzing with activity. Aaron, Mike, Angela, Rose, and I stood frozen, unable to comprehend the sight of the mechanical monstrosities maneuvering with ruthless efficiency.

Our awe quickly transformed into sheer panic as a sudden movement caught their attention. The robots' menacing red eyes locked onto us, and without a moment's hesitation, they charged towards us with their metallic footsteps resonating through the underground complex. Fear gripped our hearts as we realized there was no time to escape. The ladder was pulled up from above, leaving us trapped in the depths of the robots' lair.

Frantically, we searched for an exit, our eyes darting around the room. And then, amidst the chaos, Aaron spotted a narrow passage leading to a ventilation shaft. Without hesitation, we followed him, squeezing through the tight space with urgency.

We emerged into a deserted hallway, gasping for breath, our bodies trembling with adrenaline. But our relief was short-lived as alarms blared around us, echoing through the labyrinthine corridors. The robots were not far behind.

With no other options, we made a split-second decision. We sprinted toward the nearest exit, bursting into the blinding daylight outside. As we fled, the sound of gunfire and metal clashing filled the air, a symphony of resistance against our relentless pursuers.

Desperate and exhausted, we found ourselves in front of the towering government head office. We barged through the doors, hoping for sanctuary within its walls. The sight that greeted us was one of chaos-the robots had breached the building, wreaking havoc on the workers.

Panic-stricken, we stumbled upon the president's office, our faces etched with terror. The president, a stern and formidable figure, stared at us in disbelief. "What is the meaning of this intrusion?" he thundered, his voice laced with annoyance.

Gasping for breath, I managed to explain the dire situation. The robots, their relentless pursuit, the carnage we witnessed. His stern expression softened as he processed the gravity of our words.

"The situation is worse than I thought," the president murmured, his voice filled with a mix of resignation and determination. "There is only one option left but we need to get out of this place right now." We managed to leave the building just before it crumbled down to ruins. We had nowhere to go and so I took him to my house.

He immediately called for a virtual meeting for all the people. There is only one president for all the countries and a virtual meeting, in the world we live in right now can accommodate the entire population of 10 billion.

He outlined a daring plan-a desperate gambit to send a selected few of his most trusted scientists to space, where they could work alongside other scientists and continue the fight against the robot uprising. It was a last-ditch effort to preserve humanity and find a way to reclaim our world.

We listened intently, the weight of the task ahead settling on our young shoulders. "Me and my scientists need a calm place to work from and the only option we have in hand is space. As there is only one spaceship left,we shall be boarding it. We will work together to create more spaceships to send people to space. These robots cannot travel to space and so I think this is a great plan. But I need everyone to protect themselves during the meantime. This project can take months, for your information. Hope everyone agrees with the plan as it is our only option," he said. The majority agreed even if the plan was not guaranteed to succeed.

The President left for space immediately after the meeting and he said he'll send helicopters to us to take us to other places as Florida will be the most affected place.

After about an hour of waiting, we saw many helicopters landing and picking people. One such helicopter landed near our house and we all got in. We weren't able to take anything apart from food and clothes.

My parents looked really scared and Aaron looked like he was having a heartattack. I hugged him really tight and whispered to him, "Calm down, my little brother. I will never let anything happen to you." This seemed to calm him down. We were in the lead and all the other helicopters were trailing behind.

I looked down upon our land, which was once a very beautiful looking place - it was now filled with smoke and buildings were burning down within an instant.

Tears were now on the verge of falling but I held them back. I knew I had to stay strong for me and my family, if we had to make it out alive....
