| Z+1 — THE EMPTY CLASSROOM |
Lee Suhyeok and So Junghwan stood by the door, hearts beating against their chests, as they ran the plan through their heads one more time.
Just open the door and run to the other side; it's that easy.
"When do you think Cheongsan will start dating Onjo?" Suhyeok asked, trying to kill time as he stood in front of the door.
Junghwan shrugged. "Hopefully, soon." He held the door handle, looking at his friend.
"Mhm, I hope so too."
"If you are done killing time, can I open the door now?"
And just as Suhyeok nodded, Junghwan pushed the door open, opening it wide for all the zombies to pour in. The two boys ran to their friends, quickly jumping over the barricade.
Oh Joonyeong played the choir music over the cable, attracting more zombies into the room as the students struggled to hold down the barricade they made.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck!"
"Damn it!"
"What the fuck?!"
Lee Soojin pushed as hard as she could against the wall of tables, trying to fight against the zombies that kept trying to climb over the barricade.
So Junghwan stood behind the female, protecting her from the various items that fell from their wall.
Onjo stood near the back door, looking out the window. "Daesu! Make some noise!" She ordered, hoping it'd attract all the zombies to the classroom.
"You zombie bastards!"
"Again!"
Daesu took a deep breath, holding back the barricade with his back, before screaming his lungs out again. "Come here, you fucking zombies!" He yelled.
Soojin couldn't help but let out a chuckle, despite their situation. "Fucking loudspeaker, that guy," she mumbled while continuing to fight against the zombies.
"How much longer, Wujin?!"
"We can't go yet! Hang on!"
"It's going to fall! They are climbing over."
Without any hesitation, Soojin grabbed the nearest weapon she could find before climbing the barricade.
"Daesu, don't let me fall, okay?" She yelled, swinging the tripod at the zombies.
"Jinnie, are you fucking insane?" Cheongsan's eyes widened as he watched his twin whack away at the zombie students. "Get down from there!"
"Let go! I'm so sorry! But please! Let! Go!" Soojin groaned as she kept hitting the zombies away from the top of the barricade. "Let go, already! Please!"
While the brunette tried to help her classmates, Daesu fulfilled his unspoken promise, holding the cupboard as steadily as he could, given the situation.
"How much longer?" He asked, sweat trickling down his face as he struggled to contain the force of the zombies. "When can we fucking go?"
Jang Wujin fisted his hands by his side, feeling immensely guilty for his friends as he looked over at them.
"Just a little more. Hang on!" He announced, looking outside the window as he prayed for the zombies to just disappear.
Lee Soojin kept swinging the tripod, pausing as she looked at the crowd of zombies below her. "Wujin, check again! I think this is it!" She yelled, her heart at her throat as she waited for a response.
