The Contract

Chapter 1

Allison's pov

There is something about the way the clouds movie in, letting us know that it's about to rain. Something about the breeze that turns from warm and comforting to chilly.

I lay my head back watching the rain drops trickle down on the roof of the car, I stepped out of the car standing there with my arms out feeling the cold water droplets touching my face

Calm, thats how I felt. It was peaceful and nice. Actually I might even stay out here for hours just soaking the peace and the letting the water soak me haha but ya.

"Stell come in here" I heard my mother

If I ignore her voice for a second I can enjoy this peace for longer, this calm that was washing me down was the most perfect thing I have experienced in a while

"Stell come in here darling" her voice

Sighing I opened my eyes and turned to my house, there she stood watching me from the window

With heavy steps I went inside, she comes to me with a towel right away covering me up

"Mama im fine" I say

"You are soaking wet stell" she whispered

"Im fine" I say

"Stell sweetheart" I heard my father

"Hi dad" I whisper

"Why don't you go get ready?" He says

I turn to my mom and see her sad

"Are we expecting someone?" I ask

"Yes, Stella how about you go get changed and you, your mama and I have to talk" he said caressing my hair

"Sure dad" I said walking up to my room

I took a quick shower and put on a short black dress since we were expecting people, I was brushing my hair when I looked in the mirror

A sad smile covered my face as I put my hair back and cover up some marks, a tear fell form my eyes but it didn't touch my cheeks because I wiped it before it could

"Stell" I heard my mom as she knocks on the door

"Come in" I reply turning in my chair so I was facing the door

"Hey muffin" my father says coming in with mama

"Dad whats going on?" I ask

"We don't want you to freak out but do you remember mr Scott" he asks

of course I do, he is my best friend, ya call me lame because my best friend is my dad's best friend, mr Scott. But its been a while since I saw him.

"Yes" I reply

"Him and I were thinking about merging businesses"

"Thats great dad, this could be amazing for you" I chirp happily knowing he has been wanting to merge his business with his friend, I just didn't know it was going to be mr Scott

"But there is a condition" he says

"Condition? What condition? Dad he is your best friend, what does a condition have to do with this?" I ask being confused

"His son will be taking over our business once we merge"

"His son who?" I ask

"Alexander" he says

"Okay mhm can I please know what's going on"

"Stell darling, we want you to get married to Alexander" as those words leave mama's lips I freak

"What do you mean? Marriage? No, mama I am a child, what do you mean marriage, I am not getting married plus he isn't even pretty. Dad please you can't do this to me. This is absolute bullshit, sorry I know my bad, I mean this is absolute bullcrap" I ramble pacing around

"Stella calm down" dad says

"Calm down? Dad you know I wanted to marry someone who looks like that human from the tv show and I am 23, oh my god. Dad I am 23, I can't get married, please"

"Shhh muffin come here" he said

"My life is going to be over, he will tell me what to do, I will have to cook and you know I hate cooking when people ask me to, how will I even run around, oh my gosshhhhh" I was full on freaking out

"Stella" my dad says grabbing my arm

"My life is over" I said

"No it's not muffin, not at all"

"Marriage dad, I am a child"

"Yes you are, you are my little child"

'See you love me, mama you love me too right"

"Of course sweetie, we love you"

"Then why are you shipping me off to a human whose name is huge and looks nothing like my perfect husband" I said

"Calm down, shh breath for a second and let us explain" mama says

"Yes this is a nightmare right mama" I ask

"No stell its not" she chuckles a bit

"Nooooo don't say that" I whined

"Stella darling, lets breath a second" dad says

"Yeah, mhm yes, this can't be too bad" I said sitting down with my parents on either side of me

"Ron brought up the marriage, he wants Alexander to settle and since we will be merging business we thought it would be a wonderful idea if you two get married. The company will be known but both you and him. we know you are interested in books, novels, publishing, and this also gives you an opportunity to do that if you wish"

"Wait owns a publishing company?" I ask

"Yes, the novels you have over there stacked are from his company" mama said

does that mean I get free books because that could seal the deal, but marriage eww

"No no im good thank you" I said

"Okay we won't force you but Ron and Alexander are coming over for dinner in a few so how about we have dinner" dad suggests

"But you won't force me right?" I ask

"No Stella, we would never force you to do anything against your will" dad says

"You promise that I won't have to marry anyone, not someone who I don't want"

"We promise" mama says

"Can I get candy?" I ask making them both laugh

"Oh sweetheart" dad chuckles

"The sour one" I say

"Come down to my office I have some" dad said making me smile widely at him

"John she doesn't need candy" mama says making me pout

"Mama thats not nice" I say

"Stell you not brushing isn't nice either" she says

"But I"

"Jessica wanna come check on the dinner" dad asked

"Right, totally forgot about that, stell darling get ready" mama said leaving

"Candy is in the second drawer of my cabinet in my office" dad whispered kissing my head

"Hehe thank you" I giggle running to his office which was on the main floor

I rush in the office and open the second drawer to find my candy making mr grin a bit. I grabbed the whole bag

"Not the whole bag sweetheart" I heard dad making me turn around

"But" I pout

"Fine but your mother shouldn't find out" he said

"Done" I said running to my room

I did hear him chuckle but I was so excited about the candy that I didn't care.
