The Contract

Chapter 13

The next few hours were filled with meetings, contracts and other work stuff. I was finally free around 3 in the afternoon so I reverted back to my cabin to see what mess Allison has made

I push the door to my cabin and was invited with silence, the wrap I had ordered for her was still there but the cupcake wasn't, this girl is such a picky eater.

I turn around to the couch and see her snuggled with pillows and my blazer, one of the ones I left here by accident. A book was flat on her chest as her hands held onto my blazer, she was sleeping.

"Hey Jaxson" I call

"Yeah" he comes inside the cabin

"Did she trouble you?" I ask

"Can I be honest?" I laugh nodding

"She doesn't trouble me but she scares me, when you landed back here from Scotland she threatened my job because I wouldn't tell her you were back in town. oh and she is a nut head sometimes, she will do these runs. Oh my god dude the other day she ran, literally sprinted and when I caught up to her she said I need more muscles" he says making me laugh

"She is a child" I whisper

"Damn right she is" he said

"Take the next few off. Ill call you when I need you okay" I let him know, my eyes still on Allison sleeping

"No dude its fine"

"You aren't getting cut Jax im still paying you. i am here so she is safe with me, take that vacation you had been wanting to with your girl, its on me" I say

"Did you win a lottery or something?" He asked

"No, but I wanted to thank you for taking care of her the whole month"

"More like she took care of me, the girl can cook"

"I know she can" I whisper

"Well see ya" he says leaving

I walk to the couch and sit down in front of her, feeling the couch dip a little because of my weight, her eyes flicker open with fear

"You okay peach?" I ask caressing her arm

"Mhm ya" she says closing her eyes again grabbing my hand pulling it a little to hold it against her face

"Whats going on?" She shook her head but I could feel her raging breath

"Allison you have to talk to me, whats going on?"

Her eyes open as she sat up properly putting the book beside her

"Are my parents in the building today?" She asks

"No they are not, they are out of the country for some business"

"Business" she asks tilting her head slightly pouting

"Yeah, we have a new business partner and dad said he would love to go to London for the meeting so him and your mother went"

"they didn't tell me" she whines disappointingly

"They did sweetheart but you were too distracted by the candy dad gave you last night at dinner" I inform her

She chews on her lower lip trying to jog her memory

"Right" she said

"They must be on the plane right now, did you want to talk to me about what happened?" I ask softly

"I mhm I can call Emma it's okay" she says

I nod grabbing her phone that was beside me

"Here" I hand her the phone
