Sneaking Out
I didn’t even realize I had fallen asleep until I woke up. When I checked the alarm clock beside my bed, the face read 10:45. I checked my phone and saw that I had a text from Tyler. He had asked for my number when he dropped my off at my house earlier that day. The text was actually just from a few minutes before I woke up.
Hey, the stars are beautiful tonight. Wanna come take a look? – Tyler
I smiled. My mother would most likely be asleep, but I had never snuck out before. I thought about it. Why not?
Sure. Where do you want to meet? Going to have to keep it on the DL. Mom asleep- Kassidy
It took a moment for Tyler to reply.
Meet me at the end of your street. - Tyler
I got out of bed, pulled on a sweatshirt, and slid my phone into my pocket. I knew that I would not be able to go through the front door, so I opened my window, slid through, and landed behind the gardenia bush outside my window.
