RIGHT AFTER naming makauwi galing sa graduation ceremony ay dumiretso kami sa isang restaurant kung saan kami magse-celebrate mag-pamilya. Kaming tatlo lang nina Ma and Pa, wala naman kasi akong kapatid. Sa may mga kapatid d'yan, sana all sa inyo!

Habang hinihintay ang desserts namin ay kinuha ko muna ang phone ko. Iti-text ko muna si Simon, magt-thank you lang sa gift niya. Actually, I still haven't opened his gift to me until now. So, I don't have any idea what's inside. I want to open it at home sana, where I can express my feelings alone. Bet ko pa naman maka-receive ng gifts, and whenever I received one, talaga namang para akong bata sa tuwa.

I put my phone in my purse after I send Simon messages. Sakto rin dahil isi-serve na ang desserts namin. My Ma and Pa are really enjoying the food. Minsan lang din naman kasi kami mag-bonding ng ganito, madalas nasa bahay lang kami, nanonood ng movie, food trip lang, minsan kaniya-kaniya pa kami ng ginagawa at hindi nagpapansinan. But we're enjoying each other's company kahit na gano'n.

"Here's my gift, anak." my Ma said and handed over a cute white box with gold ribbon.

"Thanks, Ma! Pero hindi naman na po kailangan ng gift. All of this achievements of mine and both of you being with me all along are enough na po." sabi ko. Mama held my hand and smiled.

"That's our duty as your parents, anak. Isa pa, minsan ka lang naman namin bigyan ng gift, kaya tanggapin mo na 'yan. Sigurado ako magugustuhan mo 'yan." she said enthusiastically.

I smiled and opened the cute little white box, and when I opened it, I saw a beautiful gold orchid necklace. My eyes widened in shock, I've been wanting to have something like this for a long time, but I don't want Ma to buy it for me, I want to buy this necklace with my own money. Pero mukhang naunahan na ako ni Mama.

"OMG! Ma thank you so much! Sobrang tagal ko nang gusto ng ganito." I said happily while looking at the orchid necklace that Mama gave me.

She smiled, "You're welcome, anak. Congratulations again." I smiled back.

"Syempre hindi matatapos ang gabing ito nang hindi ko naibibigay ang regalo ko sa iyo." Papa said.

I chuckled, "Gano'n po ba? Hahaha! Sige nga Pa, patingin ng iyo."
