Chapter 10

After training the people the whole day, it was almost time for Mando and Cara's plan to begin. Juno was on her way to the barn when she noticed Omera leaving and Mando looking after her. Juno came closer to him with a teasing smile. "You like her."

He turned sharply to her. "What are you talking about?" He denied even though Juno didn't believe him. "Anyway, I was going to look for you. I want you and the child to hide with the others and don't come out until I come get you." He ordered.

"Okay." Nodded Juno.

"One more thing." He turned, grabbing a blaster from the table in the barn. "Take this. For emergency only. You understand?" Holding the blaster to her.

"Yes." She said, taking the blaster. That's when Cara came, looking at the Mandalorian

"Hey kid. Let's go." She told Mando and nodded at Juno.

It was dark and quiet outside as the children were hiding in one of the houses. Everyone was scared of what would happen. Juno sat with the child in her lap, looking around and cooing. That's when they could hear blasters being shot and Cara and Mando giving orders. They heard the shouting and explosions as they screamed, frightened.

"It's gonna be okay." Juno tried to calm them but being afraid herself didn't help them.

After a long time of fighting, they could see a large explosion as the AT-ST got destroyed and the raiders ran away. The people started cheering, happy they managed to defeat them as the children ran outside, going to their families and friends. Juno picked up the child as they smiled at each other and they too ran out. Juno quickly found Mando and ran to him, hugging him tightly. "That was wild." She laughed, happy that everything was okay.

He didn't know what to do so he just awkwardly patted her back. "You both okay?" He asked when she let go of him, nodding and mumbling a small 'yeah'. "Good."

It was the night after the plan. After putting down the fires, everyone went to sleep after the long day. Mando and the child were sleeping peacefully in their beds when Juno woke up. Standing up from her bed, she went quietly next to Mando's bed and started whispering. "Mando? Mando!"

He turned to her. "What." He mumbled.

"I need to go." She said, going from one leg to the other.

"Go? Go where?" He asked, still half asleep.

"You know. Go, bad. And I don't know where the bathroom is." She said a bit embarrassed.

"Oh, go. Why didn't you say so?" He said, now wide awake and a bit embarrassed too, as he got up, gesturing for Juno to follow him. "Well if you need to go, you need to go." When she was done they went back to their beds, both falling asleep again. But an hour later, Juno was up again, waking Mando one more time.

"Mando?" She whispered.

"What?" He asked tiredly.

"I'm thirsty."

He turned his head to look at her. "Can't it wait until morning?" She shook her head 'no'. So he just sighed, getting up again. "You know, you're gonna be up again in two hours, needing to use the bathroom again and I won't wake up to go with you." He told her, going to find her something to drink, Juno following after him.
