(4) I Can't Decide

"I can't decide whether you should live or die, you'll probably go to heaven, please don't hang your head and cry"

We are in an elevator going to the scene, I look at Connor, he's got his eyes closed again, he looks so calm right now, it's actually kinda charming

He opens his eyes and Hank says "Hey Connor, You run out of batteries or what?"

Connor replies "Sorry, I was making a report to Cyberlife"

So that's why he sometimes closes his eyes, I knew there was an important reason

"You both planning to stay in the elevator?" Hank questions

"No, I'm coming," Connor says then hurries out and I follow behind

As we walk to the scene I question Connor "When you report to Cyberlife, what happens? what do you see?"

"I go into this zen garden and meet with a woman named Amanda and I just report what is going on in the investigation" Connor then smiles

"That is so cool," I said because I just couldn't stop staring at his blue eyes so I said the most boring thing I could, good job Y/N

We get in and there are birds, EVERYWHERE, who takes care of all these birds, like the fuck?

I look in disgust as we continue looking at the place

"Y/N, you can help look around if you don't feel too grossed out," Hank says then giggles

I follow Connor and he licks blue blood I think, off of the sink "What the fuck Connor, that is so disgusting" My face I think says it all

"Lieutenant had the same reaction, I should have warned you, It's how I pick up samples and analyze them" Connor goes back to analyzing

"I see, Well that's interesting..." I feel like I'm going to puke with the blood licking and birds and smell too, god I wanna leave so bad

Connor finds a book that has text no one can understand and after a bit, he finds where the deviant is hiding

The deviant storms out and Connor starts chasing it and me and Hank follow behind, Hank is starting to get exhausted but he still tails behind me

We get up on the roof and Connor is coming, but the deviant comes up to Hank and attacks him, almost throwing him off the roof, He's hanging on as hard as he can

I run over to try and pull him up but I'm not strong enough, Connor finally shows up

"Connor please help me!" I'm basically begging Connor to save Hank, He pauses for a second but then rushes to us and pulls Hank up

"It got away" I whisper but loud enough for Hank and Connor to hear me "It's okay we know what it looks like, we'll catch it" Hank takes a deep breath and walks to the door "Connor and Y/N.. Nevermind" and he leaves, he used to be so thankful but with Connor I guess he's not comfortable with Connor still so he doesn't want to feel like he likes him

"It's okay Connor, that's his way of saying thank you, He's just not comfortable with you right now, but I'm sure he will start to like you more" I smile at Connor

"I hope you're right Y/N" He smiles back

We start walking to the car and I wanted to question him, he didn't have to save Hank, but he did, even though he's supposed to do anything to complete his mission

"Connor, why did you help me get Hank up, You could have caught the deviant but you helped us instead, Why?" I give him a look of confusion

He pauses again then says "Well I didn't want him to die because he's important for the mission" He gives a very android answer, even sounds more like an android when he says that, I don't believe it for a second

"Since Hank didn't say it, thank you, Connor, You doing that meant a lot" I start to blush at him, god. Y/N stop being so in love with him

Connor smiles and I notice a small blue tint to his face "You're welcome Y/N, anything for you" We didn't talk for the rest of the walk, I was too awkward to try and speak again without blushing like a manic

We catch up with Hank and we get in the car, Hank looks so tired "Hank, let me drive, you seem tense" I say to him

"No Y/N, you can stay in the back with Connor, I'm fine, I swear," He says clearly tensed up but I leave him alone because he probably just wants to go home and nap after today, I definitely do

Connor looks outside the window, he looks so calm and peaceful after the intense adventure we just had, I wish I could never get exhausted like him, everything would be so much easier

I lay my head down on the door and close my eyes, hoping to get some sleep and I immediately start falling asleep
