Flash and Peter got closer as the days went by and they worked on the project, Ned and MJ were confused as to why the boys were friendly towards each other but they trusted Peters judgement, so they didn't bother stopping it.
Peter had thought about this project, if he actually joined the Avengers the project would become even more exciting and he had considered it, helping out the Avengers would be cool, but they definitely wouldn't want him to help them if they found out his identity. He should probably reveal himself to the Avengers soon enough, rip the bandaid off as you say.
Peter arrived home from school and went upstairs. "Hello guys" he said as he entered the living room. The others waved at him with smiles. Then the whole building shook and Peter sighed, couldn't he go one month without being attacked as his normal self either? It was enough being attacked as Spider-Man, here he couldn't even use his powers properly.
The window got broken by a giant sand-fist, sandman, another one of Spider-Mans enemies. He knew his weakness, water, but the rest of the Avengers didn't, logic was that the sand got harder and therefore more dangerous, but the fact was that water can soften his sand granules therefore, Sandman cannot control them and has to wait for them to dry.
The man came in through the broken window, all the Avengers had already gotten out their weapons. Peter remembered the mans name Flint, but he couldn't use the same method as he did with Electro. The man was fully inside and was just slightly larger than a normal human, and not an entire sand monster, probably because otherwise he couldn't fit inside the room.
Tony nodded at Peter and pointed at his room, so Peter tried to walk to his room, his plan was that he would go inside, lock the door and help the Avengers as Spider-Man by swinging out of his window and in through the broken one. That didn't go as planned as Flint noticed that Peter was trying to walk away and grabbed his legs with a giant sandarm.
Tony looked in horror as his son was picked up by the sand monster, he was lifted up into the air, he shot quick looks at everyone else who were also frozen in fear.
It was his fault that his son was being held upside down in the air, 20 inches from the floor. If he hadn't told him to go to his room, then maybe he wouldn't have been noticed by the mutant.
His repulsers formed around his hands and he blasted the sand mutant. The laser went right through the man and he looked at Tony with a grin. "You're going to regret that tin-can" he said and to all of the Avengers terror, threw Peter out of the already broken window.
(yeet)
Peter was in free fall, hurdling towards the ground, he didn't panic and felt the familiar feeling of wind rushing past his face, then he remembered that the Avengers saw him get thrown out of the window, he looked at his arms where his webshooters were, along with a lot of cuts from the broken glass.
He shot a web up so he was high up in the air, then he swung another web so he could crash right through another window as Flint was just behind it. He prepared himself for the impact and broke the window, before landing in the classic Spider-Man pose, much to the shock and relief of all the Avengers. As Karen also was programmed into his webshooters, he gave her a command by talking into his 'watch'.
"Karen, get into FRIDAYs system and activate the sprinklers" he said and Flints eyes widened, and then he and all the other Avengers were getting soaked, soon enough Flint Marko was standing in a pile of wet sand looking very angry.
The spider webbed him up, and the sprinklers stopped after Peter had asked Karen to stop them. Tony was quickly over with his son and hugged him, Peter hugged back, he had expected Tony to be mad or something, so this quite nice.
"Uhh dad, I'm sorry"
"About which part?" Tony asked raising an eyebrow.
"About the broken window? What do you think?" Peter replied sarcastically, and Tony laughed a bit. "For now I'm just very happy you're okay, I really thought I had lost you and I would definitely had blamed myself"
Tony replied, still sounding very relieved.
"You scared me a lot there kiddo"
"I know"
"We'll talk about the fact that you're 16 and fighting crime in the street and keeping it a secret from all of us later" Tony said and pointed at his arms and legs "for now you should definitely get those cleaned and bandaged""Okay, then we'll also talk about your guys' secrets from me later then" Peter replied with a smirk, and all of the Avengers looked confused. "What are you talking about Pete?" Tony asked and Peter smiled a bit more, he found his phone out and found the group-chat.
'Dysfunctional Online Family'
Our Son
Aww, come on Tony Stark, you should know what I'm talking aboutI have also been living a double life
I've been your online son who doesn't know he's texting the Avengers, I've been your son in general, and still having to pretend I don't know anything about the group-chat.
Peter sent it and a tons of plings came from all the other phones in the room. The expression on his family changed from confused to shocked.
"You knew!?" Nat asked, for once she actually showed how surprised she was.
"Yeah, I knew ever since the day you held a gun to my head, Mama Spider, that day I got it confirmed anyway"
"That was ages ago!" Steve said and Peter smirked. "Yeah, I wanted to see how long I could go without you guys finding out that I know"
"Well you definitely succeeded in that Pete" his dad said and ruffled his hair."I'm also surprised that you guys didn't figure out I'm Spider-Man before this, I mean
1) My 'nightly walks' I mean, who goes out and gets shot/stabbed every single night?2) My voice, you've been talking to both me and Spider-Man and didn't recognize the voice?
3) My constant self sacrificial behavior, I'm always running into dangerous situations to make sure other people are okay
4) I also really thought you would figure it out after dealing with Electro
5) I've admitted to being Spider-Man to both my mom and dad and they both just took it for a joke"
Peter said and the Avengers looked almost embarrassed.
"I have one question Bambi, how did you sneak out of the window? I've programmed FRIDAY to notify me every time you left the building?"
"Uhhh, please don't get mad dad"
"I won't, I promise" Tony said and Peter grinned a bit. "I might've hacked into FRIDAY so that when I leave through the window she wouldn't even know and think I'm still asleep, and just in case you would check security I made it so she would play a loop of me sleeping the entire night""WHAT!? My toptier AI got hacked by a kid!?"
"Yeah basically, also technically the room you gave me was decorated for me"
"So Peter, as you can hack into my AI, want to help improve her some other day, for now you need a break, we'll talk about Spidey tomorrow?" Tony suggested and Peter nodded excited to help his dad with his AI."My best friend Ned is actually better at AI building, so maybe he can join?"
"Do you 100% trust him?"
"He's my guy in the chair, he helped me with my own AI and with my suit in general, also you should definitely make something for Flint so he cant use his powers"
"Alright then, now Bruce, please clean Petes cuts and give them some bandaids"
Bruce nodded and Peter followed him into the Medbay.Telling all of the Avengers (or rather showing them with no other choice) had actually not been that bad, probably because they were just so happy that he was alive and hadn't fallen to his death.
Anyways, he got his small cuts cleaned up and bandaged with Avenger themed bandages. (which the rest of the Avengers thought was funny) he went to bed after being forced to not go out as Spider-Man that night, and because he had taken down a big villain (literally) and also because Mama Spider frightened him, he stayed home for that night.
Nonetheless he was pretty excited for the next day as he would talk with the Avengers about being Spider-Man and he was really hoping they would let him.
