"Aunt Mimi, is this really necessary?" Nevaeh groaned,

"Yes, now get out of the car, immediately" She yelled,

"Fine" Nevaeh grumbled as she obeyed her aunt,

"Okay, do a little twirl" Mimi smiled as she held up her phone to take a picture,

"Not in front of the house, what if someone sees" She whisper-yelled,

"No one's gonna see, NOW TWIRL" Mimi yelled,

Nevaeh let out a sharp exhale before twirling,

"Okay, pose" Mimi smiled,

Nevaeh just shrugged and started posing for the camera,

"Smile hunny" Mimi grinned,

"Now, do you or do you not feel bonita?" Mimi giggled as she handed Nevaeh a designer purse,

"I feel bonita" Nevaeh said as she rolled her eyes,

"That's great, because you look bonita" She smiled, handing her a bottle of wine wearing a bow on it's neck,

"Okay, bye" Nevaeh smiled as she took it from her,

"Go in, I won't leave until I see you get into the house" Mimi answered,

"Don't worry, you can go" Nevaeh assured her,

"So you can go ahead and watch the party from the window? Hell no" She replied,

Nevaeh gulped as she walked up the stairs of the house,

"Go Nevi, Go Nevi, Go Nevi" Her aunty chanted, cheering her on

"Stop, that's embarrassing" Nevaeh whispered as she closed her eyes, getting to the front door,

Faint pop music drifted into her ears and the smell of spicy Puerto Rican food greeted her nostrils,

"Go on, knock, don't just stand there" Mimi said, offering an encouragement,

She knocked twice, then looked back at her aunt, hearing the sound of keys jingling as the door was unlocked,

"Have fun" Mimi smiled, just before she drove off,

"And you are?" A feminine voice asked as she opened the door,

"Nevaeh Rivera?" Nevaeh answered,

"Oh, I've been expecting you, do come in" the girl said as she opened the door wide enough for Nevaeh to enter,

"Here" Nevaeh said as she handed her the wine,

"Oh, a gift? Thanks" she smiled as she took it from her,

"I'm Anza, Miles' cousin" she smiled,

Nevaeh took a good look at the brown girl,

She was about 5'7, had her hair done in a light brown and blonde combo of jade brades,

"Nice to meet you" Nevaeh smiled,

"Oh my gosh, I love your outfit and your hair is definitely giving what it's supposed to give" Anza gushed,

Nevaeh's heart fluttered,

She loved receiving compliments from pretty girls, it just hit different,

"Thanks, your hair's pretty, the accessories are to die for" Nevaeh smiled,

"Follow me, the party is on the roof" She said as she started to lead her up a flight of stairs,

"My tía Rio really likes you, she talked my ears off about you when I arrived" Anza giggled,
