That vision would leave a scar,

Nevaeh's hands wiped her tear stained cheeks as the upper section of her body shot up in a flash,

Making her feel like she'd lost two children to the clutches of death,

Forever,

"What's wrong Mamí, Bad dream?" Miles rasped beside her groggily, his arm still lazily wrapped around her torso,

"Mhm, bad vision" She murmured before Miles sighed, taking his time to sit beside her, pulling her body closer to himself so her head could rest against his shoulder,

"I thought you said you've stopped having those" He whispered as he kissed her forehead to comfort her,

"I did, I thought I did, I really don't know anymore, Miles" She sobbed into his chest,

"What was this vision about?" He asked,

"I... I... lost m-my daughter again" She choked out whilst crying,

"It's fine, it's fine" He assured her as he wrapped her in a warm embrace,

"I don't wanna do this anymore" She cried,

"Don't say that Vi, we'll figure this out, I promise" He whispered as he kissed her forehead again,

The room was suddenly full of deafening static coming from the speakers that Nevaeh screamed, retreating further into Miles for comfort, eyes tightly snapped shut,

Row row row your boat,
Gently down the stream,
If you see an open portal,
Don't forget to leave,

Row row row your boat,
Gently down the stream,
When you see your doppelganger,
Don't forget to scream,

Row row row your boat,
Gently down the stream,
Hold on tight to what you have,
This life is but a dream,

This was followed with more static, then a monotone ringing sound before silence embraced the room,

"Is that?" Miles asked as Nevaeh slowly opened her eyes,

"The haunted earmuffs I told you about?" She asked,

He nodded once,

"Yes, yes it is" She sighed,

"Don't worry, we'll be fine" Miles assured her in a whisper,

"I'm scared Miles, I'm tired of losing any more people" She cried, just before her phone started to ring,

She shuddered,

"I'm not picking that up"

"Why not?" He asked,

"Every phonecall after a warning always brings bad news" She whispered,

Miles huffed as he reached for her phone to check the caller's ID,

"Yasmeen?" He said as he answered the call, ignoring Nevaeh's pleas for him not to do so,

"Hey Miles, where's Nevaeh?" She asked,

"She's here beside me, what's up?" He asked,

"It's Tara" Yasmeen sighed,

Nevaeh's eyes widened,

"What about Tara?" Miles asked as he scowled,

"She won't go to sleep, I've tried everything and now she says she won't sleep until she talks to both of you" Yasmeen complained,
