"Mamí" Miles mumbled as he tapped her awake,

"What?" She yawned as she snuggled into her pillow,

"I'm going out" He answered, adjusting her bonnet,

"When are you coming back home?" She mumbled,

"Either very late or tomorrow morning" He answered,

"Oh, sure" She said before she drifted off to sleep,

"Goodnight" He mumbled, placing a kiss on her forehead,

The ringtone of her phone startled her awake about thirty minutes after he had left,

Nevaeh moved her around the bed, looking for her phone in the dark room,

"Oh fuck" She groaned as she was almost blinded by the light that was emitted from the phone,

"Hey Janelle?" Nevaeh groaned groggily,

"Wake the fuck up, Phantom, you're needed in Queens" Janelle yelled,

"That's so far away" Nevaeh whined in complaint as she sat up in bed,

"It's an emergency, ughh" She said as the sound of glass shattering was heard,

"Just come quickly, I'm sending a portal your way" Janelle screamed over the sound of gunshots,

"Who's the villain?" Nevaeh asked, sleep fleeing her eyes as she rushed to her computer, checking if her suit was still working properly,

"The Night Rangers" Janelle answered,

"Aight, send in the portal" Nevaeh whispered putting on her band just before a greenish spherical swirl appeared in front of her,

Nevaeh sighed as she activated her spider suit,

The alarm started to ring,

"Xanthe, shut it off" Nevaeh mumbled, rolling her eyes,

"Mask on" Nevaeh said as she activated the mask before jumping into the portal,

"Xanthe?" Nevaeh called as she travelled in dark flight,

"Yes Nevaeh" Xanthe answered,

"Who are the Night Rangers?" She asked as she fell freely,

"They are a group of villains who occasionally come together to carry out big missions or heists or both" Xanthe answered casually,

"So these criminals, do they operate solitary on a normal day?" Nevaeh inquired,

"Yeah, but sometimes they do back each other up in duos and trios" It responded,

"Do you know their identities?" She asked,

"Nightwalker, The Reaper, Nightstar and The Prowler" Xanthe answered,

"By The Prowler, do you mean?" Nevaeh asked,

"Yes I do, that's your boyfriend, Miles fucking Morales" Xanthe answered,

"How the hell did he get to Queens?" Nevaeh sighed,

"Don't ask me, I don't fucking know that, I'm not God" Xanthe answered with an attitude as Nevaeh landed on her feet right in front of the Roxxon branch located in Queens,

"Put me on to Janelle" Nevaeh ordered,

"Where are you" Nevaeh asked just before she saw a desk fly out from a window,

"You know what? Nevermind, I'm on my way" Nevaeh said as she propelled herself upwards and into the building through the hole in the window, kicking the person who was standing right in front of it,
