First, Springy got his prizes out of the boat, then himself. He was ecstatic because he had a new plan in mind. He held on to the children's hands and dragged them into a big warehouse in front of all of them. Springy smiled.
"I know it doesn't look like much, but I promise you it looks better inside," he reassured the kids. That did not reassure anything, though.
What was in there? It might've looked nice, but was it a trick? How will they escape? So many thoughts went through the kids' heads as they walked into the warehouse. It was very dark in there.
"Whoopses~, I forgot to turn on the lights," the spring man pulled a light switch, and the room was alominated.
It was a nice white room that resembled an experiment or a testing room of some sort. It was bare, except for the big screen thing in front of them. T and Olivia got pushed the ground by Springy, and then he ran into another room and closed the door. The children were weary and worried. What were they doing there? They knew about becoming toys, but why did it look like someone died? Suddenly, the screen lit up, and Springy was on it. (Sorry if this part was cringe)
"Howdy, kids! You’re probably wondering what's going to happen next. Well, I've got one word for you: Duck!"
Just then, a big wall came down and divided the kids. Then silence, with the slightest hint of... motor oil scent?
Olivia, having smelled that, looked down and saw an eye. An eye that belonged to... No. Olivia could not believe that her friend could've...
"T?" She called out, hopping for a response. All she could hear was crying. A lot of crying. And the smell of motor oil was a lot stronger now.
"Oops~ I told you to Duck! Now, you're dead. Well, I suppose it can work with one," Springy said, not caring about T bleeding.
Meanwhile, T was crying their heart out, bleeding motor oil, and some of their mint-colored fabric was ripped off. They were in so much pain. It was like fire to them. Everything was ringing. They could feel themselves getting their soul ripped out of their body. They just wanted it to be over. They wanted to die. Then, everything stopped.
Springy spoke again.
"Well, I guess you could say that this was the first death of your new life! I'll take care of the body," he said.
Later...
That night, Olivia couldn't sleep. She was thinking about T's death. She wished it was her who died, not T. Springy was right. This was the first death of life.
