Springy sighed in relief.

"Thank you for helping me. It means the world to me that someone cares," He said.

Ballpoint Pen gave him a comforting pat on the back.

"We're happy to help, Springy. It's the least we could do."

"AFTER YOU KIDNAPPED US -" Zoetrope yelled from the other room, agreviated about being there.

Ballpoint pen sighed.

“He did not kidnap us, he needs help!”

“How do we know that? How do we know that he isn't trying to kidnap us?”

Ballpoint Pen groaned.

“You watch too many spy movies.”

“What? It's better than your dumb romance movies.” Zoetrope retorted.

“Hey! At least I have tastes! All you have is kids toys!”

“Will the both of you SHUT UP??” Cried Springy.

The two stopped what they were doing and stared at him. He calmed down.

“Sorry. I just- that's not the point. The point is I brought you here because I need your help. My child went missing and I can't get her back alone. Will you two help me?”

Zoetrope smiled. “Sure, we’ll help you”

“Finally, he agrees.” mumbled Ballpoint Pen.

“Okay!” said Springy. “All we need is a plan. Do any of you work with Meeple?”

“She's at Meeple?!” gasped Ballpoint Pen.

“Yes, sadly,” said Springy.

“I work there! And let me tell you, it will be absolutely impossible to even get near that building unless you have a-”

He stopped for a moment as Springy smiled and let it sink in.

“I’ll do it. But I'm Cobs's assistant.
I can't just let you in when he's not looking! He's got eyes everywhere.” Ballpoint Pen protested.

Zoetrope put his hand up and pointed at himself.

“Who has two thumbs and has watched enough Spy Kids to know how to save the world?” he smirked.

Ballpoint Pen smiled. Springy was ecstatic. He was ready to save his kid with these boys he barely even knew. He had hope, though. And optimism. And that, with a little dumb luck, might be the key to ending Cobs for good.
