It's been a few days since Taehyung's encounter with Jisoo. Lately, he's been having this strange pull towards her. He's not in love with her, but he feels this strange feeling, like they've known each other for some time.
Sadly, he didn't have her number, and there was no way to find her. He wondered what she was doing, and was curious to know about her.
After all, something just seemed really familiar about that girl.
What are you doing now?
"JISOO!" A gruff, angry voice boomed throughout the house.
Jisoo quickly came out of her adoptive father's room that she was currently trying to clean, rushing up the stairs and into the office where her "father" resided.
"Yes, sir." She said in a small voice.
"This drink! What is it?! Are you trying to poison me!? It's all wrong!" The old man seethed, dumping the cold beverage over Jisoo's face, making her gasp at the coldness nipping her skin.
"I-I'm so sor-" She began but was cut off by a hard slap to the face, causing her to whip her head to one side.
Tears pooled in her eyes. This was every day for her. She was the Cinderella of the family, except she was constantly abused.
The mother left the minute she found out that her husband was sexually abusing Jisoo, and blamed Jisoo for it all. The woman found herself a new partner and stayed back in the US while the father moved back to Korea, taking Jisoo with him.
And that's how a year later, Soojin ended up in South Korea, in search for Namjoon.
"Go back in the basement and await your punishment, you little bitch." The old man gritted, fists shaking as Jisoo took shaky steps towards the basement. Her bedroom.
She sat on her bed, only in her undergarments. As soon as she saw her "father", she put her wrists in the chains that were attached to her bed, a tear dripping down her cheek as she thought to herself...
'Someone please help me.'
I'll always be there for you, girl, I have no shame.
Taehyung sat in a cafe, his boyfriends were busy today. Jungkook was working out at the gym while Jimin had a job as a contemporary dance teacher, thus leaving Taehyung by himself. Yoonseok had each other, so that was out of the question. And Namjin are enjoying their own time so he really had no one.
"Here's your dragon fruit iced tea and chocolate créme filled croissant." The waitress said, placing the order down on the table carefully.
"Thank you." Taehyung gave a polite smile, then looked out the window he was next to, watching summer slowly fading into fall.
The door to the Cafe dinged, Taehyung not paying any mind to it.
"Welcome to Vellichor's Cafe, what can I get for you today, miss?" The waitress that assisted Taehyung previously spoke kindly.
The voice that came next got the tan boy's attention. It was all too familiar. "Get me a Chai coffee with whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup, please."
"Anything else?"
"Egg, ham and cheese breakfast sandwich. That's all."
"Jisoo?"
The girl looked up and her shades covered eyes widened. "Tae- Taehyung?"
Taehyung moved to the corner she was in, taking his drink and pastry as well. He noticed how Jisoo shifted nervously, doing her best to hide her face with her ombre red and purple colored hair.
[I'm not sure but I think it was the ddu-du-ddu-du era? Or was it playing with fire? I don't remember but she had ombre hair, I think she used non-bleach colors which made the red seem more like burgundy-ish? Wtv I hope you get me, yeah? Okay.]
Confused with her behavior, he kindly asked, "Look at me, Ji."
The girl refused, making him become more stern and worried. "Jisoo. Look. At. Me." He pressed on every word to show he was no longer going to be easy on her.
Slowly, Jisoo lifted her head, Taehyung reaching a hand over to remove her shades. His mouth gaped as he looked at the bruise on her cheekbone, almost a blackeye had it been any closer. There was a clear indication that someone had bitten the corner of her lip too harshly, the makeup on her neck which was loosely covered by a summery scarf could not hide the dark hickeys that peeped from under the foundation, making it look like bits of dirt. Taehyung wondered what other marks he would find on her if she wasn't all covered by a long sleeve top.
"Here's your order, miss." The waitress finally came, Jisoo lowering her head, unaware of the tension between her customers.
Once she was out of earshot, Taehyung lowly said, "Who did it?"
The girl gulped but once again, tried to avoid Tae's question by taking a bite out of her sandwich. Taehyung sighed and leaned back on his chair, waiting for Jisoo to finish chewing.
"I'm not fucking around here, Soo. You better tell me, otherwise I can't help you."
This time, Jisoo glared and gritted her teeth. "Who are you to want to know my business, huh? Just who the hell do you think you are? How are you gonna fucking help me? God won't even help me!" She raised her voice. A few people turned to look at them, making her cower but still had a tinge of rage in her. So much she began to tear up at the horrifying experience she had just the night before.
Taehyung left enough money to pay both of their foods, standing up abruptly and taking the wrist of the wide eyed girl, pulling her up and out of the Cafe, quickly taking her bag before they exited.
"Let me go, Tae!" She yelled.
He didn't listen and continued to pull her in an unknown direction. She was a bit scared, but anger made that fear somewhat subside. "Yah! Are you deaf?!"
Eventually, the taller yanked her into an alley and gently pinned her to the wall, both of his hand on either side of her head.
"I don't know who you are, but you mean something in my life, I know it. Somehow I feel like we aren't strangers. If anything, I feel the need to protect you. Not in a boyfriend kind of way, but in a brotherly way." Taehyung explained, looking into Jisoo's teary eyes.
"Now, tell me who the fuck did this to you, and I promise you, I'll do everything I can to help you."
Jisoo hesitated, but he was right. She felt that connection to. A familiar feeling like she's seen those puppy eyes that were different as one was hooded and the other wasn't, those heart shaped lips and that little mole on his top lip just seemed to turn the gears in her head and an ache in her heart.
"I....my....my adoptive father abuses me."
