After the portal closes, the party notices that their new surroundings are much like the previous area. Grass blowing in the wind, blue sky above. Babbling brooks and civilians all dressed in medieval clothing.
General: Well, I feel out of place!
Fylec: You do? These guys are Androids in the medieval days! How do you think they feel?
Pointing at his party members, Berd and Jokesum, Fylec then looks at them as they have now changed into different beings altogether.
Berd: I mean, yeah. My mechanical self will stand out like a sore thumb! Wait!
Berd looks at his, non-Android, hands. Touching his own face, he feels skin upon his face.
Jokesum: Whoa! Berd, you're an Ogre!
General: Uh, Jokesum. You're not Android either.
Jokesum looks at his hands, they too are no longer Android. Touching his face, he feels no protruding teeth.
Fylec: I think Jokesum is a demon! Those bloody horns are huge!
Jokesum reaches to the top of his head and notices that he does, indeed, have large curled horns on top of his head.
Berd: So, hold on! What the heck happened?
Jokesum: Seems to me like we are now in a different reality.
General Mood bends down nearby a brook and checks his reflection.
General: Oh! I'm still me! Less armor than I'm used to, but still Human.
Fylec: Well, I'm impressed by us. Not going to lie, a lesser person would be freaking out and running around screaming their head off!
Berd: Wait! What happened to my handgun?
Jokesum: Oh! My rifle-saber!
The party checks themselves for their items, none of it remains. Though they do have new weapons.
General: Well, I still have my...My god! This sword is massive!
Pulling out from his sheath, a wide, long sword, General Mood grins as he holds it with both of his hands. Fylec unhooks his stick from his back and notices that it is now a more gnarled wooden staff that has a circular orb within its top end. Berd, the Ogre, takes a bow from his back as he then notices twenty arrows are on his back in their quiver. Jokesum, tries to find any weapon but finds nothing.
Jokesum: So, this is fair! What the actual *beep*! Wait, I can't swear? Okay, what is going on?
Fylec: Well, I'm guessing I'm the magic caster of the group now. Do I have anything I can test out, that won't be damaging?
Thinking of a spell, Fylec's staff begins to glow at the top as the circular orb rotates. Generating a small block of ice above his head, Fylec then catches it as he finishes casting.
Berd: Yeah, I don't get it either. What is the good of looking like a demon, if you don't...wait! Jokesum, try casting a spell!
General: He was an Android, let's see how he does!
Jokesum's eyes darken as black smoke pours from them. He exhales a deep, monstrous sigh when all of a sudden his hands begin to rotate into forming a dark, black orb. Shooting the orb upwards, Jokesum hits a passing crow as it disintegrates to bones in the air and plops on the grass five metres away. His eyes return to normal as he shakes his head.
Jokesum: That, was amazing! I called upon a power and boom! Shot that bird out of the air! Wonder what else I can do...
Fylec: Oh! I see our classes and levels!
Looking above each others head, the rest of Fylec's team seems exactly what he had said.
Berd: So, I'm a Ranger slash Fighter? Oh, and level 1 for each of us. Okay, sounds good!
General: And I'm a Barbarian slash Bard? The heck is a Bard?
Suddenly, a lute is hovering in front of General Mood. He holds it in both of his hands and quizzically looks at it.
Fylec: Yeah! Music! I'm a Wizard slash Cleric, okay. So I'll be healing you guys, should you be injured.
Jokesum: And I'm a Warlock slash Druid! Oh, apparently they are two conflicting sides! Oh, and also I have to appease my dark lord in order to keep my Warlock skills. I mean, I'm no killer. But, if it means that I get to keep these dark powers, I'll kick some ass!
Berd checks out his knives, short sword and bow once more before putting them all back in the respective sheathes and attaches the bow to his back.
Berd: Alright, now that we know each of our classes, and I guess our levels, shall we find some kind of...village?
General: Well, I'm not sure how kindly the folks will like an Ogre and a Demon just walking through their village. Without us having some issues with them.
Fylec: Hey, do any of you have items? I've just found a few scrolls and a deeeep pocket!
Jokesum walks over to the brook and leans forward to see his reflection. Noticing that his skin is as red as he once was painted as an Android, Jokesum smirks. He straightens back up and then checks his own inventory.
Jokesum: Huh? Oh! I have a disguise kit! Simple; we disguise ourselves as regular people. And I wear...hey! A fancy fedora! Oh, and also I have some coins. Seems like 50 silver here.
Placing a brown hat upon his head, to hide his black horns, Jokesum then begins to paint a disguise upon his face and, once finished, begins to paint Berd's face a human disguise.
Berd: Alright, okay. How's it coming along fellas? I've got a lock picking set, a couple of bronze coins and not a lot else.
Fylec begins to chuckle as he sees the now painted Jokesum begin to paint Berd's face. The result is not great, but passable as now two humans.
Fylec: Well, the paint is working. You sure look less like an...Ogre, Berd. And Jokesum, well the hat helps!
General: Alright, we shall go towards that smoke signal!
Fylec still chuckling at the half-assed paint job that Jokesum had performed upon himself and Berd, the party then begin to walk at a brisk pace towards smoke coming out of a very dense tree area. Looking around the new forest that they have entered, the party then notice that there is no wildlife around and that all of the plants are wilted and dying. Approaching a moss covered shack, the one that is smoking from its chimney, the party notice an old-looking woman outside stirring a cauldron with a giant spoon.
