A Phantasy Star Part 18: The Doctor and the T.A.R.D.I.S

There is a shifting around sound, as the party then notice a tall skinny looking person leaning from behind the central column looking at them.

General: Uh, hello? Are you...

The Doctor: How did you get on board the Tardis?

Jokesum: Tardis? The heck is that?

The Doctor: Time and relative dimension in space, Tardis! Sorry, I'm the Doctor hello!

Berd: Hello to you! We went through a portal, which we thought would take us through to our quest giver, Madam Heathcliff. Do you know...of her perchance?

The Doctor: Well, I've seen a lot in my time. A Heathcliff, I've never came across that type of being.

Fylec: Wait! We're back to our regular selves! Jokesum, Berd, you're both Androids again!

The two Androids look at each other and nod, they are indeed back to their robotic selves.

The Doctor: Sorry, I thought that they were Androids anyway. What do you mean, regular selves? What were you before?

General: Well, that is a story! See, we are from a reality where Androids are a race. But, where we came from just they were not Androids. They were in fact an Ogre and a Tiefling.

The Doctor looks quizzically at General Mood as he had said this, raising an eyebrow at the mention of the fact that a reality had changed the two Androids into other types of beings.

The Doctor: Okay, starting to get this now. So, was it more like medieval days?

Jokesum: Yes, yeah! We had armor, weapons and magic! Oh the magic was amazing!

The Doctor is slightly baffled by the terminology magic as he presses in a few buttons upon the Tardis' main controls. It whirs and hums to life as he takes a step back.

The Doctor: Do you know where this reality was? I'd love to help you find it, plus I'm sure you would love to finish your quest.

Berd: We couldn't tell you that, we had joined a newer location. Planet, if you will, that had different scenery than we are used to.

The Doctor: Alright, could I get the pointy ear one of you to stick their hands inside this?

The Doctor gestures towards a jelly looking control system in front of their self, Fylec shrugs and walks towards it.

Fylec: Alright, what do I need to do?

The Doctor: Right, with both of your hands inside this, I'm going to need you to think of the place that you had just been. The Tardis will read your thoughts and translate them into coordinates and then...

Fylec places his hands within the jelly like substances upon the controls, as he does so he thinks of the previous location and the Tardis bellows out as it reads his thoughts.

The Doctor: Alright old girl, let's show them what you can do! Allons-y!

The room shakes and hums as the Tardis whirs itself into and out of realities, through space and time until. *Thum* The Tardis lands down.

General: We're here?

The Doctor: Correct-a-mundo! You are wherever your buddy thought of!

Fylec: You mean, Pioneer Two or the medieval place we were in?

The Doctor: Well, what were you thinking of?

Fylec: I guess...the medieval location. I'm really not sure guys, sorry!

Berd: Well, let's go outside and see.

The Doctor: I'll open the door for you!

With a click of his fingers, The Doctor commands the Tardis to open its doors and it does so. Walking outside, the party then notice that they are back within the medieval area that they had known.

Jokesum: Not going to lie to you, Doctor, your vessel is amazing!

The Doctor: She's reliable, when she needs to be. Bon voyager!

General: If we never see you again, safe travels!

Fylec: Alright, so now we are back here, let's check our inventory.

The party hears a low thrumming and whirring as the Tardis vanishes into thin air.

Berd: Well, after that detour it seems that I still have everything...and am still an Ogre.

Jokesum: Still a tiefling and...yes! I still have the Phoenix's feather!

General: I do have the trolls toes, though where are we now? It seems like we aren't on Devils Run anymore.

Looking around themselves, the party notice that they are on a hill side though they are not near Raguul or where they had started their journey.

Fylec: I've still got the diamond necklace, sweet! Oh, I've just noticed that I have a map of the area that we are in. Huh, seems like we are on the outskirts of an area called Witches forest? Seems like a redundant name.

Berd: Well, that Tardis was a clever thing! Perhaps it took us to where we needed to go, to complete Heathcliffs quest?

Jokesum: Well, if you know where to go now, Fylec, let's go!

General: Not going to lie, I could do with seeing Capt Rick again! Fella was cool!
