Jimmy's Perspective-

"Father, why did you want to talk to me?" Jimmy asked his father.

His father smiled, "That Fiona girl, are you two close? I saw you both walking out into the courtyard together. Is she the one?"

Jimmy thought.

He would hate it if I told him that Scott's a trans male.

"Well...I like her." Jimmy said, smiling nervously.

His father cheered, "Excellent! I'm so happy!"

Jimmy rolled his eyes.

"We must get an arranged marriage at once!"

"W-what! No, not yet!"

"Ohhh, I see." His father said, smirking, "So you like her and she doesn't know."

"Er- something like that."

"Well, I'll let you propose to her when the time is right."

Jimmy smiled softly, "Thanks."

Time Skip-

As the days went by, Jimmy found it harder and harder to leave the castle.

He couldn't go down and see Scott as his father was keeping him busy with lessons about manners and giving him advice on how to propose.

Dad, we haven't even spoken about the kiss I gave him.

"Would you like to invite her up here?" His father then asked.

Jimmy snapped back and smiled, "Yes, please!"

He was desperate to see Scott, not even thinking twice about how his father might overhear Jimmy calling him Scott.

"Great! Go down and invite her up!"

Jimmy smiled nervously and nodded.

He walked down to the village and into the bakery.

"Oh, hi Jimmy!" Scott smiled when Jimmy walked in.

"Hi Scott. Er- my dad would want me to invite you up to the palace right now."

"R-right now?"

Jimmy nodded.

"Oh, and you might wanna change into a dress or something, my dad would be furious if you didn't 'look the part'."

Scott giggled, "It's fine. I'll be right back."

And he left.

After a couple of minutes, he came back wearing the dress he did when they first danced.

"Sorry, I know it's nothing special." Scott muttered.

"No, it looks really cute."

Scott smiled and blushed.

They then linked arms and made their way up to the palace.

-

Jimmy took a deep breath as they entered his room, preparing to apologize to Scott.

"Scott...I- I'm really sorry for kissing you the other night." Jimmy said, a bit embarrassed.

"No, no, it's okay." Scott turned to him and smiled.

"But it's not."

Scott took Jimmy's hands, and they looked up at each other.

"It is okay because...I liked it. I like you."

Scott then leaned in and kissed Jimmy.

Jimmy kissed back, hugging Scott as he smelled his soft, sweet, scented hair.

They broke apart, both smiling and blushing.

"I really like you too, Scott."

"James?"

Scott and Jimmy both turned to the door to see Jimmy's father.

"Who's Scott? That's Fiona." He said.

"I- I meant Fiona. Whoops." Jimmy quickly said.

His father narrowed his eyes.

"Tell me the truth."

"The- the truth?" Jimmy asked, his voice cracking a bit.

Scott looked at Jimmy and nodded.

Jimmy bit his lip and watched as Scott walked up to Jimmy's father and explained everything.

About how he was a trans male and preferred the name Scott.

About how he was gay.

And about how he loved Jimmy.

Jimmy's father was outraged, and practically shoved Scott out of the palace, forbidding him from ever seeing Jimmy again.

"NO!" Jimmy shouted, trying to run after them, "PLEASE! DAD I'M SORRY!"

"You will be finding a wife to marry." He snarled, slamming Jimmy's bedroom door in his face.

Jimmy sobbed, collapsing to the floor.

"No...Scott...I'm so sorry."

Scott's Perspective-

"I can't believe you." The king snapped, shoving Scott, "I always thought your hair looked weird, but I never looked into it."

"I can be who I am."

"Well you can't be with Jimmy." The king snarled, shoving Scott out of the palace and slamming the gates shut.

Scott started to cry.

"Oh Jimmy...I'm so sorry. This is all my fault. I ruined everything."
