Natsu POV

"You know, when I said don't make plans, I didn't mean fall asleep on me." I tell Lucy even though she's asleep as I carry her up the stairs to bed.

I realize in the process of carrying her though, if I'm quiet enough, I can set up for the promise proposal here instead. My original plan was to take her to my house and cook her dinner and then read our sides of our story and then I was gonna propose the promise. I even asked Wendy to stay the night at a friends house so Luce and I could have the place to ourselves. Placing Lucy down on her bed I cover her up with one of the blankets folded on the edge of the bed and kiss her forehead as I pray for her not to wake up in the time I'm gone.

After I close her door I go as fast and as quietly as I can down the stairs and jump into the car to make the short drive to my place. When I get there I throw the trunk open before even unlocking the door. It's then that I realize, I could've just brought Lucy here and let her sleep in my bed until she wakes up. Why. Didn't. I THINK OF THAT. As I mentally pull at my face, I walk up the steps to unlock the door, I'm pretty sure Wendy is already gone. My thoughts are confirmed when I open the door to a dark house. Turning on the lights I see all the decorations I put up from early this morning. Am I mad about having to take it all down and put it back up again? Yeah, a little. But it's for Lucy, so in my mind it's worth it.

Grabbing a grocery bag I start to delicately take down the little fairy lights I had strung up around the kitchen and put them in the bag, making sure to remember the remote for it. Next I take the wall safe star stickers I had placed on the wall all above the couch off and hoped that I could reuse them. The rest of the decorations were just couch pillows and blankets placed on the floor to make everything look nice and romantic, I can use the ones at Lucy's place to reincorporate that. Then garbing another grocery bag, I grab the bags of snacks I'd laid out on the coffee table.

I begin to walk out the door with the bags but turn around when I realize I forgot my keys and my speaker, then continue my way out to my car and drive back to Lucy's. Once there I manage to crash my way through her door without waking her up and start decorating her home. I strung the fairy lights around the archway leading into the living room after figuring out the sticky side of the light up stars were indeed a one time use. Then I snuck up the stairs the closet that held her extra blankets, taking a few. I wanted to check if she was still asleep behind her closed bedroom door, but I knew with my luck if I was to open the door now, she'd surely wake up. Hopefully I can start reading her side of the story before she wakes up so I can finish it before her. I know she'll be mad I started before her but I have to finish before her if I want to time the proposal right

Eventually, the living room had a blanket and pillow filled floor, I had a few candles lit around the room and my speaker playing music lightly.. The only thing left to do was to start making dinner, but what does Lucy have that I can make a nice dinner with? As I start opening her cabinets, I see that's she need to get some groceries. If I had more time, I'd be more than willing to go out and buy some for her along with something like pasta I was hoping to make for dinner, but I don't know when she's going to wake up.

Pancakes. Pancakes are good. You can never go wrong with pancakes. Does she have chocolate chips? Hmmmm... Not that drawer. Not that one either... Damn it where are- AH-HA! GOTCHA! Perfect. Cinnamon? Where's the cinnamon? Okayyy... Mixing bowls, mixing bowls... Where the hell does she keep everything. At this point I'm getting really paranoid that I'm going to wake her up opening and closing all the cabinets. Does she really not have any mixing bowls? Maybe I'll get her some for her birthday. The only place left to check is the small doors above the sink. I doubt they'll be in there though. There's no way they'd be all the way up-
