I looked around with my head halfway underwater, just enough to where I could breathe slightly. I swam around like this for a bit, looking at all the wildlife roaming around. It was peaceful; the deer were walking around with no care in the world.
If only I could be them, I wouldn't have to worry about anything but what I would eat. I sighed softly, floating on my back; the wind tickled my bare skin, sending shivers down my spine. Being naked in the middle of nowhere makes you feel different.
I saw up to the water's edge, looking around, ensuring no one was around. Knowing my luck, I would have one of the guys staring at me like a weirdo. Once the coast was clear I stepped out, walking over to the nicely folded towel on a small rock.
Picking it up, I started drying off my body along with my hair, which was dripping wet. Once I felt dry enough, I wrapped the towel tightly around me to ensure no accident of it falling off. I turned to see if I could see the guy I had come with, but he was nowhere to be seen.
I picked up my clothes and slid on my shoes as I began walking in the direction he walked earlier. I asked if he would be back, and he said yes, but I guess he forgot about it. Shrugging it off, I kept walking, looking side to side every so often.
Stopping as I heard some movement in the distance, I tried figuring out where it was coming from but couldn't tell. "Hey! Where are you?" I yelled out, hearing no response. I walked in the direction I thought the noises came from but didn't see anyone.
"Where is the guy at?" I quietly asked myself, scratching my head with my free hand. Giving up on the look I turned around and started walking back the way I came. After a bit, I came up to the spot where I swam and he was standing there looking around trying to find me.
A small smile crept onto my face as I quickened my pace to him, "Hey! I was looking for you," I said to him with a small laugh. He looked over, and his eyes softened as he looked in my direction. A small smile was outlined under his mask as he approached me.
"I told you I would be back," he said quietly, I looked down at my feet and nodded while rubbing the back of my head. "I know, but I thought you forgot, so I was trying to make sure you were okay," I said, not looking at him. I know I should have waited, but it felt like he had been gone forever.
"Can we go back now?" I asked him and he nodded holding out his hand for me to take. A slight blush crept onto my face as I hesitantly took it, walking beside him. Nothing was said the whole walk; we just walked in a comfortable silence.
He would look at me occasionally to ensure I was still there. I looked around at the butterflies flying all around us; a pretty blue one landed on our hands as we walked. I smiled. "hey, look," I said quietly; he turned and looked down seeing the little creature slowly flapping its wings.
"It looks content," he said before returning to the path before us, nodding at his words. I looked back at the path. We were approaching the 'camp,' we couldn't see it, but it was near. My head fell to my side, bringing me out of my thoughts.
I looked at him, but he didn't look in my direction. A small sigh left my lips as I quickened my pace to get a bit ahead of him. I walked through a slight arch in the trees and saw the tents and the small fire.
No one seemed to be around, or at least from what I could tell. I walked over to the tent I appeared in, opened the door, and walked inside. Looking around, a note and some clothes were lying on the cot.
I walked over to it and picked up the note, reading it. 'Jade, me, and the others stepped out to do some business. III will take care of you for a while while we are gone. You are free to roam around and find something to keep you busy. I am not sure how long we will be gone, but until then, I found some old clothes. They will fit you; if not, tell III you need something, and he will get you what you need. Stay safe until then. ~Vessel'
I looked down at the clothes and smiled a bit; now I know a few 'names' if you want to call them that. I threw the clothes on and looked down. They were a bit big, but I could handle that. I'm still trying to figure out where he got women's underwear, but he was nice enough to leave me some.
I wonder if III knows if they are gone. Peeking out, I looked around, trying to spot him, but I didn't see him anywhere. Shrugging slightly, I yawned, walking over to the cot and pulling back the blanket. I crawled into the open space and curled up, closing my eyes. I slowly drifted off to a dreamless slumber.

Hi guys, Rainbows here! I'm so sorry this took over a week to get out. The move has gotten me all screwed up. After work, I try to tidy up the house as best as possible, so sometimes I am just exhausted. I would like to get on a schedule here soon with posting. Once school starts, I will only update on the weekends when I get time. But anyway, I hope you guys enjoy it! I will get another chapter out in the middle of this week!
