I had fallen asleep leaning against III while he was walking. I fell into a dream-like state, but everything was real. Or, well, that's what I thought as I reached out and touched the walls. I felt almost at peace with it, even though inside my head, I knew it wasn't real. I just wanted so badly for it to be; I just shut that part away.

A small sigh left my lips as I opened the door; once it was open, I stood in place, looking around the hallway. It was like mine back home, down to the purple blob on the wood. Long story short, I forgot I had something cooking and ran down the hall with hair dye all over my hands.

It stained even though I cleaned it a million times; it just never came out. A smile formed as I started walking down the halls; I was finally back in my home, where I was supposed to be in the first place. A small happy sigh left my mouth as I walked to the kitchen; a small groan was heard to my right as I walked past my couch.

I stopped and slowly turned to the noise: a man on my couch. But his face didn't look like a face. It was all twisted together, like something straight out of a horror movie. I couldn't even see his eyes like it would matter if I could.

A small huff was heard as he sat up, looking in my direction; I couldn't even make out his facial features. Well, at least his facial shape; he seemed somewhat familiar, but nothing rang a bell until he started speaking. It was odd hearing a voice I knew all too well coming out of a person with no face.

"You don't remember me?" he questioned. I laughed and turned around, staring at the wall. "I guess I am going crazy; I can't see your face," I said to the wall, not turning to look at the 'person' behind me. "What do you mean you can't see my face?" he asked quietly.

I shook my head and rubbed my hands roughly against my face, trying to bring myself back to reality, if there was even one at this point. "I know your voice, but I don't know 'who' you are; your face is all twisted together. I can't even see your eyes," I said, placing my forehead against the wall.

Movement was heard as his footsteps got louder; I closed my eyes and turned around. I don't want to open them and face this man with no face; what if he isn't who I think he is and decides she looks like a perfect victim? Even if he tried something and I went to tell someone, no one would believe a word out of my mouth.

He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me close to him. "you have been acting off ever since we left that forest. Are you sure you're alright?" he asked as he rubbed my back. I sighed and breathed in his scent, an all too familiar one. "I don't know," I said, trailing off as my thoughts clouded.

I began feeling weak as he held me up, questioning me, asking if I was okay. I just became limp as his voice began getting muffled; my eyes shot open as I watched him shake me, trying to get me to move or do something. I felt helpless before my eyes started to feel heavy; they slowly fell closed.

I sat straight up out of a dead sleep, breathing heavily and sweating profusely. I looked around, trying to figure out where I was. It was dark, and I was lying on the ground. III slept soundly beside me; he had one arm draped over me while lying on his side, snoring quietly.

I reached over to him and put my hand on his face; while doing this, he woke up staring at me with a confused look. A small smile formed on my lips as I watched him sit up, "I had the weirdest dream," I said in a hushed tone.

"You never have those," he told me while looking at me. I looked up at the stars peeking through the tops of the trees. Nodding at his words, "I know it was odd, to say the least; I think you were there. I don't know, It sounded like you, but I couldn't see your face. It was all jumbled up I couldn't even see your eyes".

"We were at my house. You were asleep on the couch, and I walked past, confused as to why there was a man asleep on my couch," I said, laughing to myself while shaking my head. "Sounds interesting; maybe it was trying to tell you something; you know he sends you messages," he said while looking up at what I was looking at.

I sighed and nodded. "I just wished it was real and I didn't wake up on the ground. Hell, I wish we were anywhere but here. Anything would be better than what we are going through right now," I said, looking over at him. I could see he was a bit tense; I reached my hand out and laid it on his arm as I rubbed small circles.

"One day, we will be free," I said quietly while scooting closer, laying my head on his shoulder before closing my eyes. He nodded as he rested his hand on my thigh, giving it a slight squeeze. "one day," he said quietly.
