Abhimanyu went to look for aayush! He knows he is sad. He found him sitting near the pool with his legs hanging down into the water. He ruffles his hair and sits beside him. He hands him over the milk he got. He knows noone of his siblings would like to eat and even he doesn't have an appetite to eat.
Aayush hugs him immediately.
Abhi : Kya hua beta!
Aayu : Maine jaan buch ke kuch nahi kiya bhai! Mai tho bas...
Abhi : Pata hai mujhe , tune jaan booch ke nahi kiya.. (lightly wacks him) aur ye kya baat hui usne kuch bhi kaha aur tune maan liya ... pata haina woh paagal hai gusse mein kuch bhi bolti hai aur phir bhaiya se daant bhi khaati hai... par kuch asar nahi hua uspe...
Aayu : She hates me!
Abhi : Paagal hai kya? Kuch bhi? Dekhlena do din mein AB, AB karke ghoomegi aur jhagada bhi karegi tere saath.
Aayush deepens the hug.
Aayu : Usse kuch hogaya tho.. (word were stuck in his throat, tears made their way into his eyes)
Abhimanyu sighed even after aarohi hurted him , all he was thinking is only about her.
Abhi ( wiping his tears) : Shhh! Usse kuch nahi hua hai bacha. Wo theekh hai. Jaldi se ye milk finish kar.
Aayu : Nahi peena!
Abhi : Bachaa please!
Abhimanyu makes aayush drink his milk. He notices he still looks worried.
Abhi : Kyu itna pareshaan ho raha hai?
Aayu (slowly) : Bhaiya naraaz hai ! (Tears roll down his cheek)
Abhimanyu sighs and pulls him closer.
Abhi(wipes his tears) :Woh naraaz nahi the bacha ! He was just worried for you both.
Aayu(slapping his forehead) : Mein hi gada huin bhai ! Uski baato mein aake usse bike di. Rokna chahiye tha mujhe usse. Aahhhh(saying he pulls his hair in frustration) 😖
Abhi (hugging him) : Shhh! Shhh! Theekh hai woh. (Starts rubbing circles on his back)
After some comforting time.
Abhi : Waise you said one thing correct , gadha to tu hai hi.
Aayu : Bhaaaiiii
Abhi (wacks him) : Kya bhai haa! Kuch bhi nahi sochega! Agar woh kahegi ki usse ek building se kudna hai tho tu usse kudne dega!
Aayush turns his face away! Abhimanyu sighs he has to do the "Make them understand" part of parenting now as his Bhaiya is not in a situation to do . He mentally prepared himself to do the parenting part to aditya too. Aise koi bacho pe haath utatha hai kya? The protective brother in him surfaced.
Abhi : Mana nahi kar sakta kya aayu! Tu tho bada haina usse aur tu ab bacha bhi nahi raha! Tujhe hi samajh na haina kya sahi hai aur kya galat!
Aayu : Kya karu! Woh aisa puppy face banati hai ki mujhe na bolne ka man nahi karta!
Abhimanyu smiled remembering him saying the same line to aditya when aditya was reprimanding him for letting aayush play at the park till late night.
Abhi : Hmm! Its ok bacha! Whats done is done now.
Aayu : Bhaiya se jaake baat karu kya?
Abhi : Kal baat karlena aayu! Abhi bahut gussa hai woh , kuch nahi sunengi. Tu jaa soja ab!
Aayu : I'm not sleepy!
Abhi : Aaja!
He takes him to his room and lies beside him! Aayush slowly starts drifting to sleep when abhimanyu starts tapping him!
Abhimanyu next goes into his sister's room with milk only to notice that she cried herself to sleep.
He makes her lie down properly and covers her. He sees tear stains on her cheeks and pillows! He takes a wet cloth and cleans her face. He goes to the kitchen taking the milk with him and comes back with a box of dry fruits , placing it beside her bed incase if she wakes up hungry!
He then goes in search of his Bhaiya with 2 cups of coffee! He is seriously planning on giving him a piece of mind for slapping his siblings! He finds him getting frustrated while working on his laptop. He is damm sure the keys would have been jumbled if they were not stuck to the keyboard! He sighs and goes towards him.
Abhi : Bechari laptop ne thodi chalayi bike! Uspe kyu gussa dikha rahe ho.
Aditya is startled and looks up! That is when abhimanyu notices a sheen of tears in his eyes!
He can see that Aditya is having many questions running in his mind and abhimanyu knows only one answer can give him peace and answer to all his unasked questions! He places the coffee cups aside and squeezes his hand!
Abhi : Woh dono theekh hai bhaiya! They are fast asleep! Don't stress yourself! Unhe zyada chot nahi lagi.
He hands him the coffee and sits beside him sipping his own. They drink in silence.
Adi : Jo bolne aaya hai woh bol. Kyu chupchaap khada hai?
Abhi(straight to the point) : Kyu maara undono ko aapne? Galti ki aarohi ne usse thappad maara woh samajh aata hai par aayu ko kyu maara aapne? Uss bechaare ne kya kiya?
Adi(glares at him) : Usne kya kiya? Y did he have to give the bike to aarohi! Mana nahi kar sakta kya woh usse! Woh bachi hai kuch bhi puch thi rehti hai hume hi dhyan rakhna chahiye na!
Abhi : Exactly bhiaya! Woh bhi tho BACHA hai!
Aarohi se sirf 2-3 saal bada hai par hai tho abhi bhi bacha hai na bhaiya!
Aditya anger is settling down now and he can clearly see things now! He realises his mistake of giving his child another child's responsibility.
Abhi : Haa woh chahe tho usse rok sakta tha! Par aap bhi socho kya aaru sunegi uski baath! Aaru tho hamare baat bhi nahi sunegi jab tak usse daant na pade aur aayu ka kya khak sunegi!
Adi (sighs) : She is becoming too stubborn. Don't you think?
Abhi(to make his mood better) : Aur chadao sar pe. 😏
Aditya just gives him a look 😒
Adi : Dekho kaun bol raha hai! Kuch bolo nahi phauren aajate ho "Bhaiyya bachi hai"
Abhi : Bachi hai tho bachi hi bolunga na
Adi : Teri uss bachi ka mein ache se khabar leta hun! Agar beech mein aaya tho tere bhi taange tod dunga!
