After the tremendous success of the fest, the team eagerly coordinated a marvelous four-day resort trip to celebrate and immerse ourselves in the splendor of nature. Given the demanding week we experienced while preparing for the fest, Emma and I were graciously invited to join the trip alongside a few of Daniel's friends. Despite my usual difficulty in socializing, I found myself in a  dilemma as my 18th birthday happened to fall on the same day as the trip. However, on Emma's  insistence, I ended up agreeing to and happily accepting the invitation.

THE DAY CAME:

As the first rays of sunlight peeked through my bedroom window, I groggily rolled over in bed, still lost in the depths of a dream. Little did I know that my peaceful slumber was about to be  interrupted by an unexpected visitor - Mrs Armelia. With a gentle knock on the door, she cautiously entered my room, armed with her trusty tray of breakfast goodies. The clinking of cutlery and the tantalizing aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, instantly rousing me from my sleep-induced haze.

Rubbing my eyes and trying to gather my thoughts, I glanced at the clock and realized it was much earlier than my usual waking hour. Confusion mixed with curiosity as I wondered why the maid had arrived at such an ungodly hour. Was there something I had forgotten? My mind raced through a multitude of possibilities, until it hit me like a bolt of lightning - It's my 18th birthday !!my parents had mentioned that they would be arriving from abroad today!

As the maid set the tray down on my bedside table, she informed me that my parents wanted to surprise me with a special breakfast before the long-awaited reunion with them. The excitement bubbled up inside me like a fizzy soda, replacing any remnants of sleepiness that had lingered. I eagerly sat up, propping myself against the headboard, and thanked the Mrs Armelia for her considerate gesture.

With a cup of steaming hot coffee in hand, I savored the rich flavor and allowed myself to fully wake up. The anticipation for my parents's arrival coursing through my veins added an extra layer of excitement to the morning. As I devoured the delicious spread laid out before me - fluffy pancakes, crispy bacon, and fresh fruit - I couldn't help but feel grateful for the love and thoughtfulness that emanated from my parents' gesture.

Mrs Armelia, sensing my eagerness, discreetly left the room, allowing me to revel in the peace and quiet of the morning. With each passing minute, my excitement grew, knowing that in just a few short hours, I would be reunited with my parents after what felt like an eternity. The warmth of family and the joy of being together again filled every corner of my being, making this early morning wake-up call all worthwhile.

After relishing a scrumptious breakfast prepared by the lovely Mrs. Armelia, which my parents surprised me with on my special day, I bounced out of bed with sheer excitement. Eager to begin the day's festivities, I cheerfully asked Mrs. Armelia to organize my outfit while I hurried into the bathroom, closing the door with a sense of anticipation. With a quick brush of my teeth, a refreshing face wash, and a delightful morning skincare routine, I indulged in a relaxing shower. Wrapping myself and my hair in a pristine white towel, I emerged from the bathroom.

To my delight, Mrs. Armelia stood before me with the outfit for the day- a stunning pale pink frock with a length just below my knees. While it was a fabulous choice for the occasion, I couldn't help but express my preference for a combination of cream and red, which happened to be my parents' favorite colors. "It looks wonderful, Mrs. Armelia, but I was thinking of wearing something that incorporates cream and red," I playfully suggested.

"Absolutely, Miss Anna," Mrs. Armelia happily agreed, making her way into the closet to retrieve my outfit. Meanwhile, I took a seat at the dressing table and cheerfully began drying my hair with the hair dryer. Afterward, I picked up the hair curler and skillfully styled the ends of my hair, creating a beautiful look. With my hair complete, I enthusiastically applied my makeup.

"May I present this to you, Miss Anna?" Mrs. Armelia called out from behind. I turned around to discover Mrs. Armelia holding a stunning cream and red western gown, a perfect choice for the occasion. "It's absolutely perfect, Mrs. Armelia," I exclaimed joyfully. Mrs. Amelia gracefully prepared my dress for me, laying it carefully on the bed.

Once Mrs. Armelia left the room and closed the door, I excitedly inspected my makeup and hair in the mirror. Satisfied with the result, I swiftly changed into my chosen outfit. With a final glance in the mirror, I adorned myself with a lovely set of Western jewelry that effortlessly complemented my attire. Spritzing on a delightful lavender perfume, I examined my reflection once more to ensure everything looked flawless.  I wore broad cream heels that was going perfectly with the outfit.

I slipped into my stylish broad cream heels, perfectly complementing my outfit. With a quick glance at the clock, I realized it was already 11am. In a rush, I descended the stairs, eagerly anticipating my parents' arrival. Spotting Mrs. Armelia in the hallway, I cheerfully asked, 'Mrs. Armelia, have Mr. and Mrs. Jorden arrived yet?' 'Not yet, Miss Anna,' she kindly replied. Taking a seat on the plush couch in the living room, I patiently awaited their arrival, admiring the large TV hanging on the wall opposite me. As time passed, exhaustion overcame me and I dozed off on the couch.

'Miss Anna? Dear, wake up,' Mrs. Armelia softly said, attempting to rouse me from my slumber. 'Huh, mother? father?' I mumbled, rubbing the sleep from my eyes. Realizing Mrs. Armelia was there, I curiously inquired, 'Where are they?'

"They still haven't arrived, Miss Anna," she replied . "What do you mean? What's the time?" I asked eagerly, my curiosity piqued. "It's 1pm, Miss Anna. Your parents called while you were asleep to inform you that they can't come today due to an important meeting," she informed me. It felt like my heart skipped a beat upon hearing that they couldn't come.

"No, no, it's a prank, right, Mrs. Armelia?" I claimed with a tinge of curiosity. "I'm sorry, Miss Anna, but it's not. They wished you a happy birthday and said they would contact you as soon as they're done with the meeting," Mrs. Armelia informed me.

"It's fine, don't be sorry, Mrs. Armelia. All Mr. and Mrs. Jorden care about is their business and their meeting. I'm not important to them," I replied with a pained voice as I walked through the hallway and up the stairs to my room.

I was so deeply hurt because my parents didn't have time for me, and I didn't feel important to them compared to that meeting. I changed into my regular clothes for the day and sat quietly in my room for an hour.
