Chapter 11

The cheerleaders who were pushed away were still stupefied. They had witnessed Song Juyao's kick with their own eyes. They opened their mouths and looked at Song Juyao's back in admiration and awe, not joining the ranks of whispering around.

Song Juyao walked onto the tennis court, and Li Zhao followed closely behind her like a little tail. Looking up at Song Juyao's back, Li Zhao felt a mix of adoration and worry. Was she really okay? The gazes from the surrounding crowd were like needles, not very friendly, and there was Jin Yao...

Song Juyao approached Ming Shu and asked with concern, "How are you? Can you still continue?"

Ming Shu looked at Song Juyao, tears flowing even more fiercely, unable to speak. She nodded and shook her head, her emotions too overwhelming to express in words. But everyone could see how relieved she was with Song Juyao's presence.

Song Juyao looked at Li Zhao and said, "Zhao Zhao, take her to the school infirmary."

Li Zhao nodded and immediately went to help Mingshu.

"Stop." The young man's hoarse and cold voice came from behind. "Do you think I'll let her go?"

Song Juyao turned her head, meeting Jin Yao's amber, eagle-like eyes and sensing the wild, unruly brilliance within.

Jin Yao gazed down at Song Juyao from across the net.

"No matter what the reason is, it doesn't justify you beating up a girl like this," Song Juyao said expressionlessly.

"Really? Then what are you going to do?" Jin Yao's racket pressed against the net, pointing directly at Song Juyao's nose, his eyes dangerous. "Seek justice for her, Song, Ju, Yao?"

Song Juyao stared at him for a few seconds, then looked away, shifting her gaze to Ming Shu and Li Zhao. "Let's go," she said.

Jin Yao glanced at Song Juyao's back, feeling offended by her lack of attention to him. "Close the door!"

The doors to the tennis court were immediately shut.

"Song Juyao, since you're so eager to play hero, I'll indulge you. Either you catch my ball instead of her, or you kneel down and kowtow to me, admitting your mistake. Otherwise, you won't be allowed to leave." Jin Yao's voice sounded menacing.

Li Zhao nervously looked at Song Juyao, while Ming Shu trembled, terrified of Jin Yao now. He was like a devil, so cruel to a girl; the only time she would go along with him was when she was acting out a plot from a campus idol drama when her brain was on fire. Who else would do that!

She couldn't help but glance at Song Juyao, wondering what she would do. Unintentionally, some worries surfaced in her heart. Not long ago, she was thinking about how to make Song Juyao suffer.

"Alright, I'll accept your challenge. Let them leave first; they're causing too much interference here," Song Juyao said, looking at Jin Yao.

Jin Yao's current displeasure was all directed at Song Juyao, and he no longer cared about Mingshu. He raised his hand, instructing the gatekeeper to let them out. The two didn't leave because they were worried and watched through the barbed wire.

Song Juyao selected a racket she deemed suitable and walked onto the court.

This was a continuation of the unfinished game between Jin Yao and Ming Shu, so it was now Song Juyao's serve. The yellow ball bounced twice on the ground and landed in her white, slender hand.

[Ah, ah, I'm scared, Song Juyao is going to get beaten!]

[My emotions are so complicated; I used to hate her, but now I'm worried about her.]
