ChatGPT absolutely hates anything bloody so sometimes it just deletes part of the text it doesn't want to correct which can be frustrating at times. This is a heads up in case I missed some stuff sorry. Again, here's a link to the pure MTL version if you think I did:

Chapter 71

Song Juyao was led back to her cell, a small space with a glass wall facing the corridor. Through this glass, she could see a small bed, a table and chair inside, and a tiny bathroom.

After two episodes, the prison guards' attitude toward her had significantly changed. As they passed her cell, they stared at her with different and complex expressions. Some even asked if she wanted to read and brought her some books.

She received special treatment, like not having to eat in the cafeteria with other prisoners. This seemed to be a reward given by some nobles to their cash cow.

The prisoners in the facility were categorized. Murderers and other criminals would give her sideways glances, and female criminals who were rapists were a rarity. Her charges were murder and attempted rape. Therefore, wherever she went, she stood out as a woman with a perpetual aura of hostility. Despite her not being physically strong or tough enough to defend herself.

In her previous life, when she was transferred from the detention center to the prison, she signed the contract for the trial show the day after she ate in the cafeteria. She knew that if she didn't, she would undoubtedly die there and be subjected to torture. She couldn't accept that fate.

A prison guard brought her lunch. Unlike in her previous life, Song Juyao could now eat without the unspeakable torment she had endured. She chewed the food seriously, mindful of her stomach issues. She needed to take care of her health. Simultaneously, she savored each grain of rice.

She required a healthy body, ample energy, and strength. One day, she would undoubtedly defeat her enemies.

Eating steadily, she paused and then turned her head to look outside.

Outside the glass wall stood a tall, stern man in a suit and leather shoes.

Her former classmate, Huo Hai's half-brother, Huo Sen.

After the first phase, he had visited once, and now he was here again.

Song Juyao smiled coldly at him. "Mr. Huo, you're back."

Seeing her smile, Huo Sen couldn't help but think of the sincere and sweet smile she had given to Jiang Baiqi in the virtual world. The corners of his mouth tightened, and his expression grew even colder.

"I'm offering you another chance. Give up participating in the next trial show, and I'll secure your release from prison in five years," Huo Sen said coldly.

"Thank you for your 'generosity,' but my answer won't change."

"With your intelligence, you shouldn't say such foolish things," Huo Sen said angrily. "I didn't spell it out last time, but you should have understood. Do you truly believe that the major shareholders of the trial show will always protect you?"

Xingmeng Group was controlled by nobles. "Justice Trial" was the most profitable project of Xingmeng DreamWorks. The shareholders did appreciate Song Juyao. Who wouldn't like a cash cow? She had earned more for them than the previous judges. How many redress tickets had been sold? To keep this cash cow profitable, they would indeed protect her. Anyone who dared to harm her would be going against them, and even the Huo family wouldn't dare provoke her.

However, this couldn't continue indefinitely.

The main shareholders behind the trial show were nobles with an ambiguous relationship with the government. They could cooperate with the government to enable prisoners to receive sentence reductions or retrials through a reality show.
