"So, you're a transferee, aren't you? You're a new face," The boy named Kai queries
Hanni glances at him through the rear view mirror.
"Yes," She shortly answered
"You look kind of familiar actually, does bumping into me rang any bell?" Kai's tone was teasing and Hanni could feel her ears getting red
"Are you perhaps friend with a guy named Jake?" She changed the topic
Kai nods enthusiastically, "Yeah, he's our friend,"
"Obviously," Hanni scowled
His smile faltered a bit, "Why? How can you tell?"
"You're both annoying, that's how I can tell." She deadpanned
They hear a soft chuckle coming out of Minji's mouth but when they glance at her, she was tight-lipped
"You're a bit blunt like our driver over here," Kai says, patting Minji on the shoulder
"Hands off," Minji sternly stated causing Kai to immediately raise his hands, "Chill, Kim." He giggled
"I'm driving and the road's slippery, don't do that." Minji added in a low voice
"How do you look so scary with that soft personality?" Hanni couldn't keep her mouth shut, hence why the question just slips out
Kai laughed again like he's currently having the best time of his life
"You don't know me that well to say I have a soft personality," Minji responds calmly
Hanni nods, "You have a point, maybe, you're a tsundere,"
"BAHAHAHAHAHA you're insanely amazing," He stops laughing when he realized something, "What was your name again?"
"None of—" Hanni's sentence trails off when Minji spoke
"She's nameless,"
"Nameless?" Kai puts his fingers on his chin like he's thinking, "What a unique name, who named you that?"
"Dumbass," Minji whispers
Hanni stifled a laugh, "I don't feel comfortable sharing my name, maybe you can call me nameless for the meantime,"
"Why?" Kai rests his chin on Minji's seat
"So you're one of those people," Minji reckons
Hanni grimaced, "What people?"
"Closed off," She replied cooly
That made Hanni silent. Was she that obvious? She wanted to ask but they've reached her destination hence she said something else instead
"Drop me off here,"
The car stops, Hanni took off her seatbelt and opened the door. She halts and looked back to the two.
"Thanks for the ride, I won't let it happen again," She says, truthfully
"I doubt," Minji whispers which didn't reach Hanni's ears
"Keep safe, nameless!" Kai waves as he throws himself back at the passenger seat
Hanni nods and forced a smile. She slammed the door shut and watched as Minji drives away.
The rain has stopped, and her home is twenty steps behind but all of a sudden Hanni felt really tired, like the world has drained her for everything that she had.
