(Day of being kidnapped)

An icy breeze grazed my exposed flesh and crept beneath my clothes as I squirmed around searching for a much more comfortable spot. It was strange,
'my room was never this cold'.

Not wanting to open my eyes, my hands began lingering, longing for something to pull over my almost frozen form. Having soon realise that there was no such thing in reach, I decided to roll over.

My eyelids gathered strength to lift , but my vision was still blurry. The room was darker than usual, and the bed was harder than I remembered,
'almost ...concrete and ...ice'

That's when my eyes shot wide open. And slowly the room I was in came to view. I jolted up , and glanced at my surroundings.

The room was large, and everything around seemed to be solid. The floors and walls were off a stone colour. I was laying in the middle, facing what looked like a small opening at the top of the wall, there was no frame nor glass to make sure it was an actual window.

To my left was a giant door, bigger than the normal door you'd find in houses. The door was wooden, and had weird patterns engraved on it with no handles on the inside.

The strange door made me realise how big the room actually was.

It felt more like a tower than a room, more carvings of figures I could hardly make out in the dark spread across the ceiling. More little figures, like gargoyles ,were placed at the middle of each pillar that seemed as if the building would collapse if they were ever removed.

That led my eyes to a huge statue, on my right. It looked almost like a deity of some sort. There was hardly much light , so it was hard to tell what those were.

Tremendous pain hit me in every spot of my body as I tried to wake up. I must have been in the same position for hours on end, I could feel the tiny pricks that danced on my skin as my joints were breaking free from being immobile.

Before I could get the chance to lift my feet, something grabbed onto my left ankle forcing me back down onto my knees.

'a shackle?'

My eyes treaded the path of the thick chain that was connected to said shackel and stopped on the huge statue that I had tried to investigate earlier. It was heavily chained with multiple locks and wrapped around the stone being's forearm.

The chain allowed me to only reach the center of the room and no where beyond that.

Doing what any other person would do in this situation, I tugged on the chain in hopes of it loosening. Surprisingly it wasn't as heavy as it seemed. Pulling it only resulted in dust and pebbles falling from the ceiling and crashing down below..

Being afraid that the room actually collapsing if I continued, I stopped and walked over to the old stone man to inspect further.

It was rather big , I couldn't estimate it's size but it was certainly reaching the ceiling. Tiny cracks scared it's face and I wasn't able to distinguish it's features. All that was known certainly, was it's four arms and it's monk type clothing and faint paintings such as marks and lines doodled arcoss it's aging skin.

'a religious cult perhaps'

I walked around it , careful not to trip over the chain that tagged along. And noticed carvings on the wall behind it. It was so hard to see or even read, considering it was a bunch of letters and symbols that had either been dug deeper in or completely scratched out.

Being utterly clueless of symbols that looked ancient, I tried to 'act' like I could decipher it. Luckily there was a drawing that I could at least understand, or so I thought.
