*Emma's pov*

I walked around the room, admiring the pretty white tiled floors. Polished, enough to see myself. I blend in with the glow of the room, the only thing that sticks out would be my hair, although I must admit, it has gotten lighter than last week.

I admire the reflection of myself once again before something catches my eye. I lift my head up towards one of the many bookshelves, I squinted and then leisurely walked towards it.

I looked up to the top shelf that seemed to tower me.

There sat, in an outward position, was an odd book. Looking at that book, brought about a pain in the center of my skull. So sharp as it pierced to my eyes. I held my head down with the palms of my hands, hoping it would ease. Until it happened...

*flashback, Emma*

'so noisy'

Walking down the halls, in some school like building , I make my way to another room. Once inside I smile at an unfamiliar woman. Someone without a face, yet I smile at her as I tread inside.

Rows and rows of tall standing units, filled with countless books, stretched into a dark void beyond it.

I walked closely and carefully in one, along the isle and look at the strings of books lined top to bottom. Perhaps I was looking for something, that I knew would be on the top shelf.

I walked on until I came to a stop.

I turned to my left and stared at the book that was now , the only one amongst the shelves.

Strangely this book was not placed in the right direction it was meant to. So, I reached a hand for it, even though I knew I would not be able to retrieve it.

There it was, an arm, stretched out before my own, instantly grabbing the book I was meant to take hold of. I watched as the arm pulled back, with the book in the unknown's grasp. Passing my eyes, the velvet cover shone.

I turned quickly around, a silhouette stood tall before me, a white blinding light behind them.

I saw no eyes, no face, but only a carved-out smile. That felt familiar yet so odd at the same time.

The shadowy figure placed the book in front of me, and I looked down at it, to take it, but I couldn't.

Why couldn't I take it...

What was stopping me...

That pain came again, like a loud sudden thrashing that echoed inside my head...

'argh...'

I looked up... the smile on the figure changed to a frown...

I didn't like that look... even without its eyes, I knew it was looking at me strangely.

Outbursts of laughter spread around me like wildfire, the pain grew worse all the same.

'stop...'

My vision blurred all so slowly, as the throbbing quickened...

"Emmy.."

My eyes shot up and widened at the voice that called out my name...

"Emma...you have to—"

It distorted and the figure disappeared...

Somewhere far, I heard screams, terror... I heard more familiar voices, I heard cries... and then I saw myself.

Bright violet hair, shimmering violet eyes and adoring smile.

I walked along side someone, a female, someone who I was fond off, someone who smiled just as radiantly towards me as I did them.
