Three hours has passed unnoticed. The time I spent listening to him play, made me pay attention to the little things about him.

I listened to how the music flooded the empty halls outside , and how it danced around the room I was in.

I imagined that this was a ballroom , filled with countless people, swaying to the music and mingling with others.

The melody was so enchanting and so was the boy who played it.

It was almost hypnotic.

I gazed up , and noticed how the gold designs were doodled arcoss the ceiling as if it was going to drop all over my skin.

I closed my eyes , just drowning in the music that echoed around me. Feeling every note that passed on by. The sound of the piano, alone , made the other instruments in the corner jealous.

Bringing my focus to the boy in front, I watched as he played on.

His eyes steady , and glittering, as they bounced from the page and then onto the keys. Being up close I was able to learn more about his style of playing, but those eyes , how they grew brighter with every note.

Always changing and being the only thing to change.

I could sense a longing in them, as if they were yearning for something. They started getting distant but that shine was carried on throughout his piece.

His hair fell perfectly over his face as he swayed with every note. His angel like appearance gleamed with the light that shone through the glass behind him. Giving his silhouette a more mythical view.

As the song grew on, I noticed how the melody had changed slightly, to something more.
Something that I've never heard before, having to realise that , I took the chance to stare at him again.

From soft and beautiful to sad and vicious. I watched how he picked up his pace and became unfocused. His eyes no longer held the shimmer I once saw a while ago. His features turned angry and almost aggressive.

The song itself was so painful , that his eyes seemed hurt and worried. As if he was lost in his mind , with no escape. He wasn't even paying attention to the sheet nor looking down to see if he'd make a mistake.

The unfamiliar tune , burst through me and I felt his sorrow reach out. He was so zoned that he didn't even know that I was still there.

The depressed expression reminded me of myself, whenever I felt alone that's the same face I had put on for only myself to see.

Forcing my memories aside I glanced up to see that the melody was still going on. Sadder than before.

Every note struck a chord in my chest. I felt so bad. I didn't know why I felt this way, neither the reason I felt hurt like him.

Before anything further , Cyrus abruptly stopped and looked off. As if something came in front of him, he showed a tormented face one that showed anger and distress.

He then slowly turned to face me. That's when I saw his eyes, those beautiful hazel eyes.

They were lonely.

Cyrus held a soft smile on his face , but those eyes couldn't hide how he felt. I almost wanted to hug him, but I couldnt .

Besides the fact that I was cuffed to the chair, I had to remind myself , that Cyrus and his friends had kidnapped me.

That's the only thing that matters right now, not my soft heart or pity.

The boy approached me and knelt down in front of the chair. Close up, his smile was sincere yet his eyes were filled with rage.
