Well, this is certainly a change in the entire story.

Who would have guessed that I would finally leave this horrible place. That I would finally get out of here.

Alive.

Its strange to even believe that I once dreamt of escaping this hell. Its scary to know I am only a step closer to that dream.

But I will admit this was not how I expected it to be.

Reenay, had gave me her word to let me go. As long as the boys fall into this so called trap of hers, she was more than happy and that means she will help me escape.

I did find it hard to trust her, but what other choice did I have.

Determination was stronger than my fears, of course, I knew somewhere along the lines, Id have complications, so I made an extra effort to think of a good second plan. Even a third counterattack.

After the debate amongst them of who will accompany me, Reenay used the excuse to talk about some, 'personal' matters with me. Which , surprisingly, none of them objected.

Walking behind her, back to the room I previously escaped from. I noticed how weird it was that someone like her could ever help someone like me. It was too good to be true.

'better keep a close eye on her, she is , after all, Adrian's mother. He had to get that brain from somewhere'

''You keep dragging behind me and well never get out of here in time. I still have many preparations to make when we finally arrive back home.''

She said as her heels tapped lightly against the marble floor.

I swallowed my thoughts hard and gradually picked up the pace.

We soon arrived at the room, she stopped and turned abruptly around, showing that wicked grin. Her head gestured towards the room door, and she crossed her arms.

I followed her silent instruction and entered the room. Closing the broken door behind me.

I let out the most shakiest breath I ever had upon being here. I looked around the dull room. The blue hue from the glass shone through.

I glanced at the table; a small bag laid on it. I sighed and walked towards it.

Upon reaching the bag, I look over at the cabinet. I was certain that Id find more about those children in Adrian's home.

They both had to be well known, who lived here, and who grew up with Adrian.

'adopted, perhaps, illegitimate?'

I approached the cabinet and pulled the first drawer open, the journal, I picked it up and had taken the ring with me too.

I placed both items at the end of the bag and walked back to pull open the last drawer.

I took with me , the photo of that girl and one of the two boys. Stashed them both with the small spare page I found a while back to jot down specific things about the mansion and my so called 'captors.'

I walked over to the bathroom and grabbed whatever I could take. And then finally zipping the bag up, I sighed a last time, glaring at my reflection on the glass window.

"Ill make sure, I escape at all costs, even if it means me killing someone to taste that free air. I will."

I whispered in angered grit.

Out of the room, Reenay eyed me and then smiled.

"All packed?"

I gave her a small nod and averted my eyes as her smile broadened.
