~Chapter 16~

{3rd person}
"Come on Akane" Shinya said to Akane who was still in bed. "No I don't want to" she said muffled by her pillow. "We need to go" he said pulling the blanket off of Akane. She moaned and stuffed her head into the pillow. Shinya grabbed her bride style, as he did Akane wiggled around and squirmed, in retaliation Shinya set her down up right on her feet. "You know you can be really annoying sometimes " Akane said walking over to her dresser and grabbed her hair brush. She combed her hair and put her shoes on. "What are we doing today?" Akane asked Shinya. " Normal running and then we are doing an obstacle course he said as he opened the door.
They made there way to the cafeteria and had breakfast. After that they did there running. They stopped at the secondary base and went out further to the course.
{Akane's POV}
I climbed a very tall mud covered wall, I held tight to the mud slick rope. The rain pelted me hard and it didn't seem to want to lighten up. Near the top I kept slipping so I had to take it slow. "Can you go any slower?" asked the man that was below me on the rope. He had been nagging me the whole time I was climbing. "Can you just calm down! Holy shit, just give me a second!" I yelled. "Ey aren't you Akane Tsunemori? Shinya Kogami's friend?" He said hesitantly. "Yeah" I said pulling my self up with out slipping. "Oi Akane!" He yelled at me. "What?!" I yelled only having a few more inches until I was at the top. "Could you maybe not mention this to him?" He said "Who? Shinya? I'm a little done with you're stupidity right now " I said "and it's not my fault you're a dick" I said under my breath. "Where is he any way" the guy called. "If you really must know he isn't around. He was one of the first to go through the course because of his ranking. So we got separated" More like Elle was being a total jerk. I thought to myself in annoyance
I made it to the top. I heaved my self over the other side that wasn't mud covered. I grabbed the rope and left mud marks on the wall, like everyone else before me had. Next was the trough. I got down on my stomach and army crawled through the low barbwire tunnel. My hair caught and snagged a few times and I had mud everywhere. As soon as I made out of the trough I ran leg by leg through the tire path.
When I made it to the end I was tired, dirty and hungry. I ran back to the base, thankful the rain has stopped and the wind had picked up. After I made it to the base I made my way back to the room. I pulled off my shoes and threw them next to Shinya's mud covered shoes. I laid down on the floor. The mud had dried making big dirt clumps all over me. My hair even had big clumps of mud in them. I laid there and looked at the brown ceiling.
There was the click of a door unlocking then Shinya came out of the bathroom in nothing but a towel around his waist. "Oh hi Akane" he said happily. He grabbed his clothes from his dresser and headed back into the bathroom. "Hey Shinya" I said tiredly, feeling my cheeks get hot. "Looks like you didn't have a great time either" he said through the door. "You have no idea" I said getting up and grabbing a pair of clothes. Shinya opened the door and came out shirt less, he pulled his shirt on messing up his hair worse than it was. "Oh my gosh Shinya" I said throwing my hair brush at him. He caught it and went back into the bathroom to fix his hair, he came back out with it fixed in it's orderly crazy fashion. "Thanks" he said handing me my hair brush. I took it and put it back on the dresser. "Now can we talk about your hair?" he said taunting me. "I know it's bad" I said grabbing a piece of my hair and rolled it in-between my fingers, loosening dirt, that fell to the ground. "Go shower silly" Shinya said grabbing some of my hair and did what I just did. "Don't worry I'm not going anywhere, I'm beat" he said, I smiled and grabbed my clothes.
I took a long shower. I got the dirt from out of underneath my nails and washed my hair 3 times to get the gritty dirt off of my scalp. I went out of the bathroom and brushed my hair. "Much better" Shinya said sitting up on his bed. "I feel much better" I said plopping myself on my bed. "Hey, just be glad that we don't have any fitness of any kind tomorrow, Saturday is our break day" Shinya said jumping down off the bed. "Really? Thank goodness" I said sighing in relief. "Yeah, I agree" Shinya said double checking the schedule. "I'm so tired" I said pulling the covers up over me, curling myself into a ball. "Goodnight Shinya" I said muffled by my pillow. "Goodnight Akane" he said. Knowing I was safe I welcomed the dark and drifted to sleep.
