TW: Murder, blood, violence

(This is from Exer's POV)

What had begun as a simple murder mystery themed party took a dark turn at midnight when we found Jackson dead on the floor, his hand outstretched towards the front door. For a hot minute everyone thought he was acting, but Pamela had sensed something was wrong. She had rushed over trying desperately to find a pulse, but to no avail because he was gone. "But..." David had whispered, clutching his dandelion yellow vest, and looking horrified, cold sweat slipping down his pale face and making the side of his hair stick to his neck. "Someone IN here killed him... The d-doors are padlocked, r-remember?"

Everyone stared in horror as they comprehended queasily what David had said. My heart felt as if it was about to burst out of my chest. "Okay... Maybe whoever it was wanted to stay true to the movie?" Suggested Brenda, with a surprisingly steady voice. As I surveyed everyone I looked at what they were wearing. Brenda had a brilliant blue dress with peacock feathers on the back, and deep emerald evening gloves. David had a banana yellow dress shirt with a bright mustard yellow pinstripe vest, trousers, and dandelion colored a fedora.

Jackson was wearing a ruby red (with blood red seeping out of his chest and onto the wooden floor.) suit with maroon dress shoes that clicked awfully loud on the floor when he walked. he also had pearly white short lace gloves to replace Mrs. Scarlett's pearls. Ron had deep ube trousers with ube suspenders, along with a lavender and violet checkered shirt. Ronald also had a metallic purple bowtie. Pam had an ebony evening gown with silver jewelry and black rhinestone. She also had black lace evening gloves, a funeral hat, and black stilettos with ruby red bottoms.

I was wearing a moss green suit with a pistachio green undershirt. My tie was evergreen green. Ken sported a classic black butler uniform with the exception of a bright green bowtie to match his hair. Jolie had a puffy black mesh dress with a white apron and a headband with white bows. She wore sneakers however, instead of heels. Timothy was wearing a black button down shirt and black pants, mimicking Mr. Boddy. So if you've ever seen Clue you'd probably be able to tell who we were dressed up as.

"Well... Maybe, but it isn't one hundred percent." whispered Timothy, clutching a wardrobe to prevent himself from falling. My hands felt terribly clammy, and the hair on the back of my neck was standing up. "Okay, I gotta say, this is fucking awesome! But sad, I mean Jack was my friend." Ken was obviously excited, but nervous, though he was trying to hide it. "What it's not every day you get to experience a murder mystery!" Hissed Ken to Jolie with she had smacked him on the back of the head with a critical look.

"We should split up into groups of two. Who knows? Maybe the murderer was just some kook who snuck in." I dished out. Everyone nodded though I expected Jackson to intervene and say We can't split up, don't you people watch horror movies?! But I remembered, oh yeah, Jackson is dead on the floor. Whoop de doo. More like whoop de doom! I'm sorry, that was bad.

We paired up. David with Brenda, Ronald with Timothy, Ken and Jolie, and Pamela with me. I had wanted to go with Day, but figured it would be better for him to be with his sister. David and Brenda would go to the wine cellar, Ronald and Timothy would investigate the greenhouse, Ken and Jolie would check the library, while Pam and I would check the kitchen. Pam and I walked into the kitchen, feeling around for secret entrances I noticed something. The knives were gone.

"Pam..? You might wanna check this out... Pam?" I was about to turn around when something slashed my arm. A hot, stinging pain spread throughout my body in waves. Dazed, I collapsed onto the tile. I looked up to see a flash of a secret door and Pam was on the floor in front of me. I was to shocked to scream, but I guess someone screamed for me because I could hear a bloodcurdling one from the indoor greenhouse. I noticed Pam was still alive, so I cradled her best I could in my arms, and shut my eyes, trying to heal her. Pam put a shaky hand on my face and whispered weakly, "That's... not gonna work... Ex. The k-killer i-is-" tears welled up in her eyes, but those eyes that had sparkled only moments ago glazed over, and she went limp.

Hot tears leaked uncontrollably from my face, and I let out an agonized wail. After ten minutes I put Pamela next to Jackson, and I saw Jolie and Ken dragging in Ronald from the greenhouse. Timothy was shaking horribly, his eyes wide and damp with tears. "I-i don't want-t to be he-re any m-more!" Wailed Timothy, stuttering so bad I could barely understand him.

"No not Ron!" David whimpered with a sob at the end, covering his eyes and turning away. Brenda was busy mourning Pam and a single silent tear rolled steadily down her rosy cheek. Jolie, Ken, and Tim were all hugging each other tightly, looking horrified. "Thi-this isn't rad anymore g-guys..." Ken whispered, his eyes wide.

Multiple emotions were flashing through my head. Sadness, fear, and anger. Who the HELL was doing this?! We all split up into groups of three. Timothy, Ken and Jolie together and David Brenda and I. Our group walked to the library, and the others went to the cellar. After a couple minutes of searching I heard a deafening crack and the power went out. I heard Jolie's yell of surprise, and I heard Ken call, everyone is okay, Jolie was just startled!

I felt around for a everyone and felt Brenda. "Where's David Brenda?" She was silent for a moment but what she said next chilled me to the bone. "He went to go turn the power back on, the switch is in the greenhouse. I ran out of the room and crashed into a vase. It shattered, glass spraying into my face and slicing my clothes and hands.

I heard a shriek from behind me, and I could see the outline of Brenda, just as the heavy glass chandelier cascaded down right onto her. I yelled out in fear and rushed over to Brenda. She was dead before I could reach her. The gargantuan glass crystal in the center had impaled her right through the top of her head. I scooted away and tried not to hurl.

I stood up and ran to the greenhouse, where I saw Timothy standing over David, knife in hand, Ken clutching Jolie, but I realized withbanjolt, they were both dead. Timothy stabbed Day in the leg and he yelled out in pain. I barreled into Tim knocking him over, and he fell through the glass wall, a shard impaling him in the heart. As he fell to the ground he mouthed i'm so sorry... And then Timothy was dead.

David looked at me, tears leaking from his face. "Is... Brenda..?" He whispered. I shook my head and he let out a wail. I hugged him tightly, and through his tears he murmured "M-may I t-tell you s-something..?" "Oh, of course Day..." I whispered, still hugging him tightly. Then he uttered something I would never forget...

"Never trust the love interest Ex." My eyes popped open with realization. I felt a sharp pain in my stomach and everything went black...
