After some hours which felt like forever
She opened her eyes and looked around then flinched because of the sudden light..she saw she was holding someone's hand it was her mom's
Avu-Mom(she murmured in a weak voice)
SA-Avneet!Avneet! (She smiled widely)
There were evident dark circles beneath her eyes which meant she was unconcious for quite some hours
Avu-Mom..how?
SA-i have no idea..the nurse informed the doctor that we have a donor.. I was so scared that-that..You were not gonna make it, my baby because your heart failed almost 90% but you did(a tear slipped from her eyes) I already felt so grateful to the donor... I asked the nurse about their family but she politely denied because of the hospital's privacy policies
She leaned towards Avu and hugged her lightly
SA-i am soo grateful to that person..i don't know what I would have done without you(she sniffled)
Avu-i love you too,mom..When can we move back to our house,mom?
SA- tomorrow morning I guess..Take a rest till then(she kissed her forehead)
Avu smiled at the thought of seeing Sid tomorrow
Next day
Avu fast walked to Sid's room..And knocked at his door with a huge smile
SA-i am leaving for groceries..take care,love..will be back in a hour
Avu-Suree! (She said with excitement)
She knocked again on the door and still got no answer.. She opened the door herself and searched for Sid
Avu-Are you again in the bathroom? I am opening it!(she opened the door with a smile)
But there was no one inside
Avu-huhh
She went to her room and sat at her bed while scrolling through the contacts.. She called all of his friends but the only answer she got was "hasn't seen or contacted with him since yesterday morning..He told us he had something important to do"
"if you can't find me someday..these will be the only people who would know where I am and if they don't then nobody will"
She thought about yesterday morning
Avu-He was there when I woke up then?oh my god no no..don't go there..That can't be what-
"you will come out of that operation theatre healthy and alive..I PROMISE that"
She gripped her heart
Avu-no no no(she ran back to his room)
Tears started falling from her eyes..
Avu-No..No! Where are you!! Siddharth! she called the doctor with trembling hands
Avu-Pick up.. Pick up please(she
murmered)
Avu-Dr.Chatterji?
Dr-Avneet?
Avu-Please(she sobbed) I need you to tell me who was the donor please!!
Dr-it's against the rules,Avneet..i can't.. I am sorry
Avu-Dr.chatterji..you always said I am like your daughter.. Prove it,then! Prove it! Please! (She cried harder)
