Mia had always been content with her simple life. She had a decent job, a cozy apartment, and a few close friends to spend her weekends with. She didn't crave for anything grand or extraordinary, and that's what made Lily's appearance all the more unsettling.

Mia had seen her for the first time in the coffee shop down the street, and at first, she had thought she was looking in the mirror. The resemblance was uncanny, but as Mia approached her, she realized that Lily was a stranger. A confident stranger, with an infectious laugh and a charming smile that made Mia feel like she was invisible.

Mia tried to shake off the strange encounter, blaming it on her overactive imagination. But then, she saw Lily again, at the bookstore, the park, and even at the mall. Everywhere Mia turned, Lily was there, a constant reminder of all the things that Mia was not.

It wasn't until Mia got a call from her boss, telling her that her position was being made redundant, that things started to spiral out of control. As she walked out of the office, feeling lost and helpless, she saw Lily again, walking towards her. This time, there was something different about her, something ominous in her eyes that made Mia's skin crawl.

"Hey, Mia," Lily said, her voice soft and alluring. "Don't be afraid, I'm here to help you."

“I don't understand," Mia stuttered, confusion etched on her face.

"I know you're in trouble, and I can help you," Lily said, her smile still wide and inviting. "Meet me at the park at 7 tonight, and I'll explain everything."

Mia nodded, not really sure what was going on, but something inside her told her that she had no other choice. As she walked away from Lily, she couldn't help but feel like she was walking towards something dangerous.

The rest of the day passed in a blur, and before Mia knew it, it was already 6:30 pm. She made her way to the park, her heart pounding with every step she took. As she spotted Lily, standing under a dimly lit tree, fear crept up Mia's spine.

"Hey, Mia," Lily said, her voice as sweet as ever. "I'm glad you came."

"What's going on?" Mia asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Sit down," Lily said, patting the spot next to her. "I have a lot to tell you."

As Mia sat down, she knew that things were about to change. There was no turning back now. Whatever Lily had to tell her, it was going to change her life forever.
