Grief.
Grief is an overwhelming feeling, and if it is not processed properly, it can break you apart.
Grief is what broke Renata Lestrange.
No matter how much she tried to ignore it and push it away, it consumed her and left nothing in its wake.
She kept smiling. She kept being the light in people's lives no matter what.
But what went on behind the scenes would make even the toughest people cry.
She was suffering and no one noticed.
She hid behind fake smiles and kind actions. The opposite of what she felt inside.
So when she took her own life it surprised so many, because why would a girl who seemed so content with life, end it all?
She was close with many people, but no one so much more than James Potter.
She loved him and he loved her, but in the end he wasn't enough to keep her on this earth, and that ripped his heart to shreds.
But he never stopped loving her, even when she was gone.
