The Next Morning-
Zae-
"You still could've told me Zae." I told her
"I don't feel like arguing, you didn't have anything to say yesterday and said you understood why I didn't tell you did you not ?" Zae asked
"It's the principle-"
"I don't care if it was the teacher Nova damn." She interrupted before getting up from her seat and walking towards the vending machines
I shook my head before running my hands down my face.
It honestly did feel like the wrong time, I wanted me and Zae to at least be in a better situation relationship wise before anything. I felt bad that she was going through this alone but at the same time I couldn't do anything if I didn't even know
"Zaeda Garner." We heard causing for me and Zae to follow her inside the office
"I'm shannon, how are you two today?" she asked
"Fine, and you ?" Zaeda smiled
"I can't complain." She smiled back before opening the door for us and allowing us to enter first
"Alright, do you mind telling me what your symptoms are mommy ?" Shannon smiled before getting her areas ready
"Umm really bad nausea, insomnia, swelling"
"Swelling this early ?" She asked before Zae kicked her feet up and presented her hands that were chubby.
"Oh baby that's not swelling, baby's just growing on you." She lightly laughed causing for Zae to raise her eyebrows
"Alright, I'm gonna have you lay back here so we can check on baby first, and then we'll follow up with you mommy." She instructed my gently helping Zae lay back.
She lifted her shirt up exposing a small baby bump causing for me to raise my eyebrows.
"You're gonna feel a little bit of coldness." she warned before spreading the jelly all over her stomach and scanning over it with the thing
We could instantly hear movements and eventually the heartbeats causing for Zae to look at me.
"There it is." Shannon smiled causing for Zae to do the same as we looked at the screen.
"You are actually farther than you think." Shannon smiled
"Really.. how far?"
"I'm looking at about 4 months, we can run a few more test to know for sure though so we can get back with your due date." she told and Zae raised her eyebrows
"Oh wow.." She trailed
"So that means we can know the gender right ?" I asked
"Yes sir, would y'all like to know ?" She asked causing for Zae to smile and look at me.
"Let's throw it in a envelope for now." Zae replied causing for Shannon to nod as Shannon continued to scan
"You good mommy?"She asked and Zae nodded as she continued staring at the screen.
"Alright.. everything looks good, you're healthy, I can see that you're eating right, however I would recommend starting prenatal vitamins for extra support." Shannon recommended
"I'm gonna wrap this up and then we can get started on a cervix check." she said
"What's that ?" Zae asked before furrowing her eyebrows
"Since this is your first checkup, we just have to make sure that everything is alright with your cervix so that we can call any early signs of possible miscarriages and make sure that that blood flow is normal and good." She explained before Zae nodded
