" hurry up ev, we were supposed to be there half an hour ago" elodie yelled out to her friend evelyn over the phone, who was trying to quickly get her brown converses on " i know, i know, ill be right there"evelyn replied in a more calm tone. she stoop up after finally getting her shoes on with a little smile on her face. she glanced at her phone for a brief moment, her home screen shined a picture of her and elodie - 8:27 PM
the girl quickly got out of her tiny apartment, locking the front door behind her. she flew down the stairs and on to the narrow streets of london. evelyn turned the first corner where she was greeted by elodie " oh god finally, you are here" elodie groaned but evelyn couldn't help but have a smug smile on her face.
elodie grabbed evelyns hand pulling her as they walked to speed up. after a while they returned to a normal pace " so what even is this party? i mean, is there a reason for it or..." evelyn grew curious, looking over to her friend " don't worry it's just a little get together of a few friends of mine, im sure you will find someone to talk to" evelyns eyes widened to this, she wasn't the most social person in unfamiliar places but she couldn't really ask elodie to be with her the whole time so she just let it go " i hope so" evelyn replied quietly
elodie patted the girl on the shoulder in comfort, she knew evelyn could get a bit anxious but then again she would be there if she needed anything at all " hey i will be there so don't worry" elodie tried to cheer evelyn up a bit, evelyn just smiled back at her.
"oh i think this is it" elodie pulled out her phone to double check if this was the right address and the two stepped inside of the building. the climbed a few flights of stairs, as they climbed higher evelyn could hear music coming from behind one of the doors. elodie rung the door bell and the door quickly opened. they were greeted by a girl holding a bottle in her hand with a huge smile on her face " elodie! you made it" as she leaned in to hug her, as the girl slowly pulled away she saw evelyn standing next to elodie and quickly turned to her " oh sorry, you must be evelyn! el has told me so much about you" the girl exclaimed warmly, as she let them both in.
as soon as they stepped in evelyn was overwhelmed by the loud music and warmt of the huge crowd "hey i swear i didn't know there were gonna be this much people" elodie leaned over to evelyn "ill be fine don't worry" evelyn answered confidently " are you sure" elodie wanted to reassure " yes i am sure el really you-" evelyn turned to face elodie to relize elodie has been pulled to the side by some friends, evelyn didn't want to be a bother so she slowly made her way to the crowds and plopped down on an empty couch in the corner where there weren't many other people, she pulled out her phone once again, bouncing her leg she scrolled through any apps to keep her busy while she waited for elodie to return
"hey girl, you wanna get out of here" a deep voice exclaimed, evelyn turned her head to the side to find a man beside her, he was resting his arm on her shoulder "um sorry i don't know you, would you mind" evelyn moved away causing this drunken mans arm to fall " oh come on pretty girl" he continued, evelyns hand starting to shake, she felt extremely unsafe "hey is he bothering you?" evelyn hear another voice but just nodded along without even raising her head "do you mind fucking of, big guy" the same voice hissed at the drunk
she turned around to find a tall guy standing by the couch with a bottle in his hands. his brown curl hair covering his face just a bit and deep brown eyes. evelyn suddenly felt a weight lifting of her chest as the drunk slowly backed off. the tall brunette sat beside evelyn " hey, im really sorry about that. are you alright?" the guy turned over looking evelyn in her eyes "im fine, just a bit annoyed. thank you-" evelyn stopped " its wilbur, but i mean everyone calls me will" he added "thank you will" evelyn finished with a sigh of relief, she looked at the crowd after looking back at will " so what are you doing at this party?" he asked " i was dragged here by a friend. you?" she replied as will looked over at his bottle taking a quick sip of its contents "oh tell me about it" he scoffed
"are you from around here" evelyn asked " yep, london, born and raised. you?" wilbur smiled at the girl "well im here for uni" evelyn replied " oh i graduated last year, now im just kind of trying to make music" wilbur said looking over at evelyn, the girls eyes sparkled to this " really! i always wanted to make music, have you got any songs yet" evelyn exclaimed happily " well i have some songs up on youtube but they are just little comedy ones nothing to serious, but i am working on an album, if you want i always need some help" he smiled softly at evelyn who was now full of joy
"really, that would be amazing" evelyn was practically bursting with existence "yeah we could meet up sometime and talk about it more, is there a chance i could get your number" will asked with a little smile, evelyn nodded. he reached for his pocket, pulling out a pen and handing it to evelyn " do you have anything i could write it on" evelyn asked. will took a second to think and then reached his palm out to evelyn " just write it on here"
evelyn took a second to check that he isn't kidding, after checking, she took wills cold hand placing it on her lap to make it easier to write

will took a glance at his palm, now with blue ink on it "evelyn, what a pretty name" a smile forming on both of their faces. the two spent the rest of the night chatting and laughing at each others jokes and stories. after a while elodie came up to both of them
" omg evelyn, where the fuck where you!" elodie asked in a worried tone "el calm down, she was with me almost the entire time" will jumped in before evelyn said anything "you guys know eachother" will continued, both of the girls nodding "anyways ev, a friend asked me to stay a bit longer and help clean up. are you fine with going home by yourself?" elodie asked in the same worried tone " yeah don't worry, you have fun" evelyn smiled as elodie walked away
"what part of the city do you live in" will asked " well, pretty east i'd say" evelyn replied "oh me too, i can walk you home if you'd like" evelyn was pleasantly suprised by how kind and generous will was " i would actually if you wouldn't mind" evelyn smiled at will "not at all, you are really fun to talk to, lyn" will replied smiling back at evelyn as they made their way to the door will stopped and turned around to face evelyn "let me just get my guitar, ill meet you outside okay?" evelyn nodded and made her way to the door. she stood outside and waited patiently. she couldn't wrap her mind around the fact that she made a friend, a really nice, kind and a kind of pretty one.
