TW swearing, mentions of alcohol

because i care about you wilbur" evelyns words escaped, her gaze immediately softened as her eyes shot to his brown orbs "you really dont have to do this" will mumbled his words, making them harder to understand. evelyn approached the tall boy, now staring deeply in his blood shot eyes "listen, whatever you are going through, and i mean anything in the world, im right here" she comforted the brunette who was staring at her, he was so exhausted of everything.

after some contemplating, they sat down and ate their food in silence, evelyn went to grab a sip from
the coffee will brought her "you got my order right" she smiled at the cup, will smiled back full of pride.
he felt his worries starting to melt away, temporarily.
evelyn was his safe place, he felt as if he almost lost her.

will was eating his food at lightning speed, he was starving. evelyn was just playing around with her egg in her half empty plate. will finished his dish in a matter of minutes "here, take mine" evelyn moved her plate over to him, he gave her an are you sure? look, evelyn nooded in confirmation. she sat there looking at her cooking disappear. she couldn't help but just stare at will, counting every brown lock of his. gazing at him

"your hair looks really soft when you wash it" she softly added, not even realizing she said this aloud. will stopped what he was doing, completely flustered by evelyns comment "what?" his eyebrows furrowed as he looked at the girl, eagerly waiting for an answer
"nothing" evelyn mumbled breaking their eye contact. she stood up to gather the dirty plates, while taking wills plate she flashed a weak smile at him. the situation only got more awkward

something happened between the two, they would usually be deep into their 4th conversation in a row but now, the two could uphold a simple conversation even if they tried. evelyn cleaned up on the kitchen while will was sat in the same chair he was all along. as evelyn placed the last dirty dish in the dishwasher she raised her head "do you want to talk about it" she asked calmly, will took a deep breath and placed his face in his palms while shaking his head no

"no, not yet" he quietly added, evelyn exhaled, she felt this weird anger growing inside. she had every right to know what the fuck was going on and who that girl was and why will was getting drunk for 24 straight. he wasn't the same, she wanted to help him, but there was a voice inside her

he is just like my mother, selfish, careless, apathetic

oh god. was she really thinking like this of will
"okay well" she huffed "if you dont want to talk about it yet then i think you should go" she finished coldly, looking at wills puzzled sad face "wait, what?" will was now more confused than ever
"evelyn look i really-" "no will, i dont want to hear it " evelyn cut him off without even looking at him, she felt bad but not as bad as she thought she would

"evelyn please, its not like you think it is-" will whined, as he quickly explained "trust me, i played this game before" evelyn added in the same cold tone, she couldn't even look at him, all she could think of was her mother. saying those exact words, the exact same way

"you just dont get it" will scoffed, grabbing his face with his hand, letting out a annoyed sigh "don't understand?" evelyn said, now furious. will knew all the shit she went through yet she didn't understand?
"yeah" will added as he grew angrier. he felt his chest tighten as he looked at evelyn, she was practically shattered "i know exactly where this is going" evelyn scoffed, as much as she tried to remain cold, she felt tears forming "well then please tell me, enlighten me. everybody seems to know all about my life, well guess what, you dont know the first thing about it" will snapped. he lowered his voice as he reached the end. leaving evelyn speechless

she stood there in her kitchen, did she push him too far? or was he the one that went too far? they stared at eachother without saying a word, the one thing they could do without feeling weird, yet now it was just pure spite " will i-" evelyns tone softened as she stepped towards will " no lyn, you're right i should go" will looked at evelyn, his eyes filled with disgust and disbelief. he made his way toward the front door, slamming it behind himself

evelyn was stood there, she finally let her tears flow down her rosy cheeks. she sat down on the couch immediately getting her phone and calling will. it kept ringing until she was met with the beeping at the end. they again, and again until she gave up all home, she was just trying to help, she felt helpless and lost
