Rose's POV:

As I lay on my bed, staring into space I hear my phone buzz. I look over to see a message from Felix, my mood changed as I looked at his message, I was happy, I opened my phone and messaged him back...

We spoke for quite a while, we talked about if I wanted to go out with him, what I felt like doing if I said yes, and cute places we could go to. It felt like time was frozen while we talked, the mood was cheerful and happy, I felt like a teenage girl, smiling and giggling at my phone talking to a boy...

A few hours went by and I realised it was almost 10 o clock, I said goodnight to Felix and put my phone on my bedside table, to charge.

I woke up to the same sound of wood knocking against my window I heard when I found the first note from my "secret admirer" I woke up to look by the window, and saw a note, but it was attached to something else...

It looked like a box, one to small to hold a ring but big enough for a bracelet or something similar, I opened my window and brought the small red box inside, I sat on my bed and looked at it curiously...

Did my admirer really send me this?

It looked expensive, but not expensive enough to brag about the cost. I opened the note first, as I read it I felt myself smiling gently at what I was taking in from the letter. It read:

I see someone's got a new "boyfriend" Its cute knowing you're keeping yourself happy Rose, I'm sure you're wondering why I've sent you your little gift, its simply something I came across and thought of you. I can't help but be a bit jealous of the boy who's taking your heart from me, so I hope you'll at least have me on your mind when you wear it.

Sweet dreams!

- Secret Admirer.

I closed the note and put it with the other one, I then looked at the red box and opened it, curious as to what I was sent. As I opened it I saw a beautiful necklace, it had a little moon pendant with an R in the centre the chain was silver and the moon was too, it had midnight blue specs while my initial was a bright gold.

"How did he know I love the moon?" I asked myself, I then smiled again and put the necklace back into is little box and put it on my bedside table and went to sleep.

*The next morning*

Rose woke up slowly, she yawned and stretched and lazed around in bed... As she looked next to her, she saw the gift her admirer brought to her the previous night and couldn't help but smile. She got up and did the little bit of chores she had, and then looked at her phone.

As she walked to the kitchen to make breakfast she saw a text from Felix, she smiled at the cute good morning text he sent, she sat on her couch, completely forgetting about breakfast and messaged him back.

{Rose} Good morning Felix, how are you this morning?

{Felix} I'm okay, just thinking about you... Have you thought about my request?

As she read those words, she felt her happiness fade slightly, although she enjoyed talking to Felix, the idea of a date or any sort of romantic situation... Made her worry. She was never fond of dating, as she was afraid of getting her heart broken.

{Felix} You there?

As you snapped back from your thoughts you heard the notification sound of Felix texting you again.

{Rose} I've been quite busy, so I haven't had much time to think it over. I'll let you know soon though<3

She knew lying would only make her situation worse but she couldn't tell him her reasoning, it was a pathetic cowardly way of thinking and she'd most likely hurt him by telling him.

They chatted for a few more minutes and then ended the conversation. Rose couldn't help but feel like she hurt him by answering him the way she did, but she soon forgot about it and got on with her day.

A few hours passed and she got a text from her friend, asking if she'd want to go out for some fun, though nothing to hectic.

"I guess maybe I should get out a bit" She thought as she stared at the message. After thinking about it, she decided to get out of her comfort zone and go out. It was a Friday anyway.

She went upstairs to her room and looked through her closet for an outfit, knowing her friend, "nothing hectic" usually means going out to a club or somewhere that involves a short dress and heels. Everything Rose hated.

As she looked through her clothes, she remembered a gift her aunt gave her a while ago, she looked at the back of her closet and found a fancy looking box. In the box was a black dress, it wasn't exactly short but it worked for a fancy night out. It was covered in sparkle, the kind that reflect when you pass light, and had a slit on the right side.

(Rose's POV) Damn, this is... Definitely something... I must say, my aunt has taste...

End of POV.

As she took the dress out of its box, she went and put it on.

She stared at herself, not believing she was able to look as pretty as she did in her dress. She looked in her closet one last time and took out a pair of heels to match.
