Désiré
After attending my various classes, it was finally lunch time and I texted Joe.
"Where are you?"
"Cafeteria"
"Where is that?"
"I'm coming to pick you, where are you?"
"Front of ballet class"
"Wait for me, I'll be right there"
I decided to watch the ballet dancers pending the time Joe will arrive.
"Boooo!"
"What was that for?", I say pushing him lightly on his chest and he replies laughing.
"Not funny", I say crossing my hands across my chest and giving him a stern look.
"Yes it is, you should have seen your face", he says still laughing and I start to walk away when he stops me. "Désiré, wait".
"So you can continue to laugh at me"
"Okay, I'm sorry, I promise I won't scare you like that again", he says attempting to make a puppy face which he looks awful in.
"You look old when you make that face", I say to him but he continues anyways and I couldn't help but give in.
"Fine, you are so lucky I'm hungry and lunch is on you, lead the way", I say and he smiles putting his hand on my shoulder leading towards us to the cafeteria, we soon get there and I'm hit with the chatter of the students making it look like a warzone.
"Come on", he says taking my hand in his and walking towards the direction of a table.
Then I spotted them, Theo, Michael and some other random guy I didn't recognize chatting indistinctly among themselves, before I could run or hide, Jessie out of nowhere appears in front of me.
"OMG, it's you, I knew we would again"
"Hi", I say in a small voice.
" Come on, let me introduce you", she says taking my hand from Joe's which made him surrender and go take a seat, leaving me with Jessie knowing fully well I wasn't ready for this introduction.
" Guys, meet Désiré, Désiré, meet the crew. I'm Jessie like you already know", she says twirling her hair in the process and I couldn't help but smile.
" That's Theo, that's Michael, that's Vera", introducing a girl with golden hair and she immediately smiles at me revealing her dimple and I couldn't help but say " Hi".
" Hi", she says back with a little wave
" She's Theo girlfriend ", Jessie further introduces, immediately Theo and I made eye contact, making me look away almost immediately.
" That's Lydia" she introduces a girl with brown skin and braided hair and I smile at her which she returns back immediately.
"That's Tyler". She says concluding the introduction.
