In other words, no matter if he left Lisa behind, he would die from the fire in the next few seconds.

...

Furthermore, if he abandoned Lisa right now, when Boss returned to pick up his ashes, he wouldn't even forgive him after death.

Perhaps it would be better to die protecting his boss's woman. This way, his boss would have some fondness for him and give him a proper burial.

Thus, Mark turned and ran after Lisa.

He barely made it a few steps before Lisa charged out of the home on a motorbike. She came to a stop by his side. "Get on!"

She had checked beforehand and knew that there was a bike parked in this home.

Unlike the sedan car, the fuel did not touch this motorbike.

Thus, she ran around twenty meters to find it.

Mark immediately got onto the backseat.

"Hold on tight!" Lisa shouted as she accelerated. The motorbike shot forward like an arrow.

Mark instinctively wrapped his arms around her waist.

He was pressed tightly against her back.

He suddenly realized that her body was especially soft. There was also a sweet scent on her body.

He could not help but be moved. It was no wonder that his boss was completely charmed by her.

Lisa's driving skills were especially good. However, the ground was covered in fuel and the tires were losing friction.

The motorbike slid several times and nearly overturned once. Mark was surprised to find that the bike was always able to shift from a strange angle back to a stable position.

In fact, Lisa was using her abilities to move the motorbike.

Mark glanced at the watch on Lisa's wrist. "This place will explode in thirteen seconds!"

However, the lake they were rushing towards was nowhere to be seen.

Three seconds had passed by the time he finished speaking.

Mark began to count nervously. "Ten, nine, eight, seven..."

When he counted to six, the motorbike finally charged past a small hill. They could now see the lake located fifty meters away.

"Five, four, three..." Mark counted anxiously.

Lisa stepped firmly on the accelerator. She could not go any faster than this.

"Two, one!" Following Mark's voice, an enormous explosion echoed throughout the island.

Right before the explosion, their motorbike left the ground and brought them into the lake in a smooth curve.

Away from the lake, the island was consumed in flames. Everything was destroyed by the fire.

The fire burnt at the temperature of at least several thousand degrees. Although the two of them were right in the middle of the lake, they could feel the heat from the flames.

Even though some of the fuel had spilled into the lake, thankfully, there were only small puddles floating on the surface of the water. The lake was also especially big and the fires quickly extinguished.

Mark and Lisa carefully avoided the puddles of fuel on the surface of the water.

Initially, they had swam with all their might.

However, they were quickly exhausted.

The lake was completely surrounded by flames. They could not swim towards land to find a piece of wood to hold onto.

They also did not have any life jackets.

The only life jacket Lisa brought with her when she first fell into the ocean had been bombed to smithereens along with their boat.

Speaking of which, even the stone wok that Jungkook brought from the uninhabited island had been destroyed.

She sighed internally.

She switched from breaststroke to freestyle swimming.

"Ah!" Mark suddenly shouted as his body began to sink. He began to cough from the water filling his mouth.

Lisa immediately swam towards him. She grabbed onto his back and tugged him up. "What's wrong?"

"My... my legs are cramping." Mark spat out the water from his mouth.. He spoke with a pale complexion. "Let go of me... Otherwise, you'll run out of energy..."
